its all 4 the lolz Founded in 2512, the LoLz were created as a support team for the Nufflexpress, they then later became the inspiration behind the Law of Nuffle literary works. "Nuffle shall abundantly provide for all your need, may the dice of LoLz always fall suckily" (Medaphistophilius 39) "Nuffle lendeth a helping hand to the man who least needeth or deserveth" (Aesykolomus 6)
Team Colours: Lime, Seashell & Old Lavender Entrance Theme: TRIUMPH - Lay It On The Line In the beginning the LoLz had their sights set on becoming one of the worst performing Box teams of all time. Going for many games at a time without receiving any payment at all had driven most players to seek alternative forms of income. Such financial hardships had also led the team to stop hiring and to rely solely on journeysnots filling up their ranks. As journeysnots were such an important part of the team a reality show called Small Buddy on Babanet-9 was started as a means of recruitment and selection. The show's first two seasons showcased the extremely violent and sadistic underbelly of blood bowl and proved very popular amongst younger audiences. The great success of the show has been hugely beneficial to the team's financial situation, with the team's management since learning there is far more money to be made in commercial endeavours than in blood bowl itself. - Their 18th match was a milestone performance, fielding 6 ogres for the third time ever. Though unlike the previous 2 occasions where it had only been a single turn that the ogres had remained on the field - for this match all 6 big guys stuck around from start to finish. In a stellar performance of ogrish skill and temperance they prevented a team from scoring for the first time in 16 matches to bring home a very triumphant 0-0 draw. With their fan factor currently peaking at 6 it would seem they are doing something right. - They achieved a new milestone after their 25th game, successfully not scoring a TD for 10 games straight. Fan factor has withered to 4 with the loss of Slerpy Jim and the sacrificial execution of PeeGee Vermin in recent matches. - The curse has been lifted! The LoLz finally achieve a win for the first time in 24 games. The buzz created has been enormous - uplifting the team from its entrenched state of doom & gloom and breathing new life into the franchise. - As the LoLz trudge closer to the 50 game mark they manage to snag another couple of victories while receiving a rare sprinkling of favourable treatment from the almighty one. - Took the #1 spot for Black Box Premiership April/May 2512 in the Ogre and Stunty categories. - Their 50th match was a most grand affair! Being the first round of Black Box Brawl XIII, they whupped a pack of dorfs into an early retirement to cash in for a 2-0 victory. Also this makes their first ever back-to-back victory! Then in a most amazing underdog victory they beat the Evil little Dorfs in the semi-finals before coming within a whisker of winning the grand final but just choking in the final minutes of the 2nd half. - Took the #1 spot again for Black Box Premiership June/July 2512 in the Ogre and Stunty categories. - For the 3rd season in a row the LoLz held the #1 spot for Black Box Premiership August/September 2512 in the Ogre and Stunty categories. - After a healthy break between seasons mourning the loss of their 3 wise men (Mosagi, Kyai & Hall) the LoLz boldly returned in 2513 with a horrific 75th match which was perfectly symbolic of their existence so far in the major leagues. - A very claw heavy chaos side would choose to evade their scheduled match with the LoLz as they were petrified to death of ogres, having gone 110+ matches without playing them once! Past Heroes: - Original ogre pack captain, putting in 46 games of loyal service until a failed performance enhancing experiment cost him dearly. Slerpy Jim - The first real hero to emerge from the LoLz, was also a well respected poet and philosopher. "Try to win, but hope to lose." (Slerpy Jim) "I am not doing this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." (Slerpy Jim) Swish Tartus - The first female player to join the squad. Lasting an amazing 32 games free of injury before coming unstuck. - Original member of the team, playing in 63 games of which he captained 40 or so - setting many prolific records in the process. - Fouling mastermind extraordinaire - one of the teams's most successful Small Buddy recruits lasting a legendary 50 games - Another Small Buddy recruit who was very talented with the boot - racking up 48 appearances places him firmly among other greats of the game - One of the greatest greenskins to ever play the game, currently holding the snotty all-time record for yards rushed. Was brain damaged early in his career but continued on until his tragic death Newly drafted: Dean the Dislocator (Og) Pieus Pipper (Sn) Krink Birdrock (Sn) Rabis Boneprone (Og) ------------- -- - --- - ----- -- ---- --- - -------------- -- - - When punters fink Box oguhz, we want dem to fink LoLz..
