After a millennia of slumber in their tombs, four of the most feared warriors of the Khemri were woken in 1986 by a sound harking from thousands of miles away. This sound, this music, this international hit record was to change them forever. Elders from the Khemri, bewildered by this change (known only in 'lore as "The Bangles Effect") decided that they must be placed with similar outcasts. The Guardians were imprisoned with sufferers of those who remember the 21st night of September, those who tried to form "Gangs" and "Sunshine Bands" and the terrible duo who suffered from "Night Fever" and were constantly "Jive Talkin'", insisting that "You Should Be Dancing". This group, this band, these poor souls afflicted by disco and its subsequent decline in the late 1970's now make their Khemri brothers proud by doing the hustle down the field and confounding their foes with their mirror ball tasselled outfits. The first game of the Dart Bowl season ended in glorious victory for the Disco, crushing Spikey's Blue Bits into the ground. The tailed vermin were held, beaten and even killed before they even reached the endzone. Fire scored the only touchdown of the game after pouncing on the ball after it had been thrown back onto the field by the crowd. |
