Norscan teams were allowed to participate in the CBBA not long after its inception, given that they had a similar way of life to the Imperial lands. There is still some debate as to whether 'those savages' should be allowed to continue their participation, given their appalling university standards. The average Norscan is well suited to the 7s format, but the overall lack of armour and the increased impact of losing players to injury presents a challenge. NPU, or Norscan Peninsula University, is the best of a bad lot, being the greatest university in the Peninsula is not a great accomplishment. Nevertheless, the Buccaneers are a well-supported team best known outside the Peninsula for their dominant season where they went undefeated to win the Championship. The team earned the nickname 'The Great Northern Raiders' smashing records on their way to the perfect season. The Buccaneers have been unsuccessful in repeating this accomplishment since.
