| Many years ago, the White Skull tribe of Beastmen were descended upon by a virulent plague which swept through their colonies within days. Hundreds were killed and paralysed by the plague. Those who survived were struck with a disease which they were unable to rid themselves of. A group of the diseased Beastmen formed a Bloodbowl team, in the hopes of raising money to purchase medicine that could cure their plague. However, when they saw that many teams were afraid of playing them, fearful of the contagious disease, the "State of Decay" decided that this illness was a blessing in disguise as it brought them fame and wealth in the Blood Bowl arenas. Having earned enough money to cure their people, they did so without hesitation, but refused to use the medicine on themselves, preferring to remain in the constant state of decay in order to spread havoc on the pitch. |
