The Dark Lands is a stark and cheerless place where nature has rent the ground and burst the mountains apart. Amidst the ruin of its southern borders, the Tower of Gorgoth pierces the horizon like an obsidian dagger.

There are untold whispers (at least, we will not tell them here) about the depraved dealings that happen inside the thrice damned tower but, one thing is certain: Its warped, vile inhabitants love Blood Bowl! (And gelding!)

Throughout the years, countless teams (at least, we haven't bothered to count them all) have spawned in the bottomless pits of Gorgoth to try their luck at achieving fame, wealth and sports immortality. Some have failed miserably, others succeeded. Who can forget the Gorgoth Ironfists and their impenetrable Chaos Dwarf line? Or the Gorgoth Hellfire Blacksmiths, under the leadership of King Eogar the quadruped?

"We metaphorically stand on the shoulders of those Giants." claimed the Gelders' coach when presenting the team. "Not the Gorgoth Giants, of course, which disbanded shortly after creation due to an unfortunate mix of incompetent management, greed and pettiness. Never a good idea to put a hobgoblin in charge, after all."

He made a melodramatic pause and added: "We are ready to show the world how Chaos Dwarfs are still a force to be reckoned with, despite the recent rule changes in BB2020... And having a hobgoblin in charge!"
