Rickard von Mortimer, or Mort for short, was a bad* wizard. He attended the Colleges of Magic but was a rubbish student who only learnt five spells during his time there; fireball, zapping someone into a frog, changing the weather, raising zombies and for some reason an ability to communicate with fruit...

He failed his exams and was promptly expelled returning to live in his mothers basement. Desperate for cash and to escape the naggings of his mother calling him a disappointment Mortimer decided to get into the Blood Bowl game and realised he could use his raise zombie spell to create a free team for him to coach and manage...

*bad as in rubbish not evil but then again anyone who messes with corpses must be a bit evil and deranged...
