Formed from the corpses of his previous teams casualties and those of their opposition, the Heroes have been named for the Chunkomancers great love of dodgy Horror movies seen on Cabalvision. The Chunkomancer is said to be working on an experiment to bring to unlife some of the former great of the SWL, with at least some portion of their formidable capabilities intact. Rumours suggest that the likes of JealousGuy, and Richie I, II, and III are likely to make an appearance once the Chunkomancer gets the TER calibrated correctly. This rumour has proven correct - JealousGuy has indeed returned and is already up to his mutating best. His former Crowes team mate Angels has now joined him in the guise of a Wight. Surely this pairing will prove a deadly combination in their second chance at Blood Bowl glory. Assistant Coaches: Valley - having successfully died and been reanimated twice, Valley has one up on everyone else on the team who have died only once. Valley has now become the teams mascot, showing that it doesn't matter how poor a player you are, or how many times you die, you can always come back for more. Halvor - an interesting variation on the assistant coach, Halvor was rendered down to his basic essence and consumed by the Chunkomancer. This augmentation of his necromantic abilities has allowed the Chunkomancer to multitask, effectively making him an Assitant Coach to himself. Furrin Stonefaced - former Dwarf, then Flesh Golem, Furrins astounding agility for a player of his position earned him a role as zombie dodging coach after his retirement due to iggling injuries. Furrin also doubles as a sharp bookie, unheard of for one of the undead. Children of the Reanimation: Halvor - formerly a promising Blitzer for the Tuff Nuts, Halvor was destroyed in the teams 5th game. He has yet to come to terms with his second chance at glory however. Valley - once a highly skilled Saurus for the Brisvegans Lizardman team, Valley was killed by Falling Apart Together and put back to work. It seems that being Undead didn't agree with Valley however, as he was again killed in the Heroes first Conference game. SEASON TEN Though suffering significant early setbacks in the teams personnel structure, the Heroes managed to attain a respectable record in their inaugural season. They were promoted to Conference level after some unfortunate teams at that level were declared insolvent. SEASON ELEVEN The Heroes romped their way through the Mammalian conference on their way to the title, and promotion to the ultimate league in SWL - Premier. SEASON TWELVE An absolute disaster of a season - a nightmare scary enough to scare even these undead, brainless fleshbombs. Both Zargithis and JealousGuy required lengthy reconstitution after our second game against the Karak Varn FC Dwarfs - they have now beaten us twice, and we shall have our vengeance! With the stars of the team gone, ballhandling options were few and far between, and though we struggled on we were outgunned for the remainder of the season. SEASON THIRTEEN In a season whose number seemed to indicate a certain level of destuny for the team, they experienced bittersweet success. Though they won the Conference once again and advanced to Premier, they lost a number of key players in the second half of the season (despite being in one of the softest conferences in SWL history), and will enter Premier in an even weaker state than their previous, disastrous tilt in Season 12. The Horrors have so far proven nigh unstoppable against similarly skilled opposition, but can they play with the big boys? We'll find out in Seeason 14. |
