[The Grim Tale] The Lorien Long-Bombers were a young and promising bunch, or at least that was what team owner Franz Beckimbowel thought when he hired their services in a small town in the eastern reaches of far away Bretonnia. Impressed by their ball handling and fast-paced catchers he took them home to his home town Nuln and started spreading the word of his new, green wonder team. Soon enough he got a game against the Nuln Bombardiers who, thanks to being local heroes, would no doubt draw a big crowd. Maybe the young elves would have made a lasting impression on the Blood Bowl scene of the Empire if it had not been for the fact that Nuffle had other plans for them. On the way home from the pre-match dinner the team was mistaken for Angels of Avalon-fans by a group of young ogres who had come to the town a week earlier to see their team, the Mawtown Maneaters. Since the Maneaters had been beaten severely by the AoA the young ogres ran the poor elves down and even ate a few of them (boys will be boys, right...). Calendar biters will remember something similar happening to the Haffenheim Hornets before a match against the Oldheim Ogres. However - unlike the owner of the Hornets - Franz Beckimbowel was not going to let his players miss such an important match (He had borrowed large amounts of money from a "bussinesman" from southern Tilea and really needed the paycheck). As luck would have it coach/necromancer Erasmus of Rottenheim of the Rottenheim Deadmeats had just lost all his players in a very bloody game against the Grimfang Groinkickers and was more then willing to join forces with Beckimbowel. The team was quickly revived and could, against all odds, take the field the very next day. However, since the players had only been dead for a few hours their elfiness had not yet left thier cold remains, nor had the memory of the game they loved. Thus they continue to play it the fast elf-ball style, much to their coach's distaste. [The think-thingy...] Since Wood Elf teams always die anyway, I thought I'd skip ahead a bit and start them dead and done. This is an idea about a dead Wood Elf team. This is elf-ball beyond the grave. One-turner zombie, here I come! [The team will consist of:] Wardancers (Wights, as they still have a bit of extra gzoing, or whatever it is wardancers have...) Catchers (Skeletons or Zombies*) Throwers (Skeletons or Zombies*) Linemen (Skeletons or Zombies*) [Development] Development will be quite free for all involved. However, as they are all elves in sprite they will always strive towards Agility and Pass skills. All stats will be taken (as if I don't need them) and they will be seen as a clear sign that this player probably was a position player in his less crumbly days. *It's a matter of what state they were in when they were revived, see... (I know the logo looks like something a snotling did in third grade wood-works, but I'm working on it... sorta'...)
|
