Orca-Cola Cup Series The Warpscythes have been struggling to fit in of late, but hopefully they're contract signing with the Orca-Cola Cup Series will see the team take their career to a new level... As ever, with the Warpscythes, only time will tell. Pirate Sartosa Cup: Not much can be said about this tournament with regard to the Warpscythes. Although the team came in second, it was clear time spent away from the pitch had harmed the teams unity, as the old fire of the Warpscythes was somewhat absent. The team now moves on, to the battle for Marienburg. Old debts to the Chaos Gods must be repaid, or the team will no doubt suffer further. A New Beginning: The Warpscythes rise from the ashes of obscurity to take to the field again... How will they fair in NL: Raises From The Ashes? Stay tuned to find out! Round 65: The fickle relationship that the Warpscythes held with the Chaos Gods finally started to turn against them this round, with several key players removed from the team, notably Ares, the teams main blitzer, and Helios, the teams main ball carrier. 3 losses and 1 win later, the Warpscythes found themselves 12th, and just managed to hang onto their Faction 2 spot. The team hopes that the next round will bring better fortune. Round 64: With a deeply unimpressive run of 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses the Warpscythes, and don't ask them how because they don't know, make it into Faction 2! The team has begun to develop in a unique manner, the Minotaur, Zhakan Thornhoof, sprouting tentacles from his body, making him an even more valuable on the Line of Scrimmage. Three of the teams Chaos Warriors have begun to feel the effects of the many rituals the team has partaken in. Taste Of Fate, Fall Of Darkness and Coils Of Malice all found their armour to have been etched with daemonic runes of quickening. These runes would normally take years to carve, by mortal hands. The team was well aware that daemonic masters were watching over them, and granting them great favour. However, the team also knew that this favour was fickle, and it could only be a matter of time until the team paid for its masters generous treatment. Round 63: An anti climatic round for the Warpscythes ends with a dissappointing result of 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss. The team chooses to play only 5 games after their last game of the round resulted in the injury of Zhakan Thornhoof, the teams resident wrecking machine, as well as new recruit Vidar. Deciding that, with the points they had from their pitiful performances, they would be staying in Faction 3, the somewhat battered chaos team decided they would begin their campaign again against the new blood that offered itself at the altar of Faction 3. The team was somewhat struck by aging this round, slowing its development. The teams second mutant sprouted a claw, but this claw was quickly followed by a series of disfiguring mutations such as additional chins and less legs. The team decided to bench this freak of nature, as even chaos teams need to keep face. Finally the team developed a unique Chaos Warrior in 'Crimson Justice' who, although suffering some severe damage to one of his knee joints, spent several days carving daemonic runes of resilience into his armor. Although other members of the team considered the lore that Justice had chosen to use ancient and somewhat powerless, the Chaos Warrior now finds himself nearly impossible to shift. The team has decided to use more ancient chaos lore in future. Round 62: In only their 2nd season of Faction Blood Bowl the Wasteland Warpscythes finished an impressive 8th in FQ with a grand score of 182 points! Their record of 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 loses for round 62 resulted in a strong promotion to Faction 3. The team is hoping to equal their success in Faction 3, with the ambitious aim of climbing to Faction 2 in the near future. Will the Warpscythes reach Faction 2 in only two rounds, or will the team crack and crumble under the pressure of the 'big leagues'. Only time will tell! Round 61: From the depths of the Northern Wastes stagger a warband of the chaotic variety, who since they were young (beast) men have dreamed of competing in the only sport worth competing in... Blood Bowl! The Wasteland Warpscythes formed up and entered themselves, perhaps foolishly, into the faction league. Their first round ended with the team wallowing in 48th place, but filled with potential. Who knows what the future could bring? Team Stats: Number Of Teams That Have Conceeded To The Warpscythes: 2 |
