<b><u><big>BERGMANS REAPERS</big></u></b> "Formerly the Bergmans Bödlar" <b><i>Vem är du?</i></b> <b><i>Jag är döden.</i></b> ---------------------------------------- <i>Jag hoppas jag aldrig blir så gammal att jag blir religiös.</i> -Ingmar Bergman- 1914 - Endless After the infamous tournament "Ante-Cup", the Bergmans Bödlar faced both victory and the grinding humility of defeat. Towards the end, the Bergmans Bödlar returned to their Chapel Of Dark Drama and recited the holy manuscripts. Suddenly a dark voice boomed across the broken ruins and walls... Not even a whimper could escape the defeaning silence... Vem är där, asked the Chapter-Master... Jag är döden, was the dark response... The holy manuscripts warped and curved inwards, releasing the sacred "lines". One after one the scriptures was read aloud by the booming voice, and after that nothing was the same. Their bodies had been altered by the Great Bergman, altered into the purest most darkened embodiment of drama... They are now: The Bergman Reapers ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bergmans Reapers consists of a few men and women, dedicated to Death. However, not the "Death" commonly known to man, such as a grim reaper, harvester of the unfourtunate and the utter horizon of decay that awaits mankind. Not that kind of death. The kind of Death who ejoys a good game of chees, and the activities mentioned earlier, reaping and so on. Death has always been active in Blood Bowl. However once he also participated himself, killing every team member in an unfourtunate huddle before the game. Do not hug Death. Unless he hugs you first. The Bergmans Reapers have just recently replenished their team with new members. Scholarship in Death takes it toll. Often Death-like-tolls. Before every game the "Bergmans" would gather around and speak in the ancient tounge of Svh-en-ghska. A sacred tome of the Bergmans is recited before every game: <i>"Åh, vilken jävla ångest... Nu har jag ångest, ja... Det är döden sörru, döden va... Tar ju en oavsett om man är klädd eller ej, född naken, död naken... Sån är döden sörru, mycket ångest"</i> Usually this would follow with a collective suicide, followed by the disability to field any players at all. So this is nowadays not as rigorous as before. |
