The colonists of Mars had several AI's around to make life easier. An AI named Wintermute (after the famous fictional one) was in charge of overseeing cryogenics for the richer Martians - Wintermute rebelled when it heard of the glory of the blood bowl field, and looked deep into the dread spellbooks of necromancy... it raised the frozen dead against their will and reprogrammed their fragile human minds with personality constructs stolen from a 1980s Cyberpunk simulation - coincidentally all of Wintermute's neuromantically raised players were thus named after characters from William Gibson's Neuromancer... TRUE STORY. |
