Originally, the Smurfs lived in a village in the woods, in houses made of mushrooms. After years of solitude, dealing with the evil "wizard" Gargamel trying to turn them into gold, some of the Smurfs moved out of the woods. They began new lives living in a large metropolitan city - West Baltimore. Along with those new lives came new experiences and new temptations. The Smurfs, being such innocent little creatures had a hard time shrugging off the lures of cheap booze, cheaper drugs, and the cheapest women. Gradually the Smurfs shied away from mass society again, but this time they kept to the back alleys and rancid flophouses of Baltimore. The Smurfs carried on their debaucherous ways, evolving into depraved little beings, caring only for themselves and their twisted fantasies. Only worrying about where they can get their next score, finding a bum in an alley to pummel, or "taking care" of some unfortunate gambler for Don Tomaso.
