The experiment of an all ogre team resumes. This time in ranked. If you wish to help this team develop then challenge it to a game. I'm looking to team build so I will not accept any challenges from coaches who have a history of fouling and stalling (No DP's!). I want to have fun so help me out. Report Game 1: v.s. Rebigulator... Preposterous! (Ogres). Lost 1-0. 3 ogres were lost to injury after both teams had taken their first turn. Played 15 turns with two ogres. Must have been the quickest game ever. Bought an apoth with the winnings. Game 2: v.s. Masters of the End Times (Dark Elves). Lost 1-0. My opponent had some bad luck. He got the ref from the outset and started to foul without remorse. Then nuffle decided to give his elves stone hands and stone feet as they kept dropping the ball and tripping. Managed to RIP a dark elf blitzer which felt really good. An ogre skilled and took guard as skill. Game 3: v.s. Painkiller Orcs! (Orcs). Lost 3-0. Fun game. Wasn't able to KO his guys until the second half. By then it was too late as superior numbers destroyed me. On the bright side the team was able to scrap enough cash together to purchase another player. Experiment Kraj welcomes Tyrant to the fold. Game 4: v.s. Circus Midgets (Halflings). Lost 3-0, but got the pleasure to play another great coach. No serious injuries on either side and two ogres skilled. One took guard as his first skill wi\hile the other took multiblock with his second skill. Still looking for first double and first win. Game 5: v.s. Bodkin Arrows (Elf). A win! 2-1. Two ogres skilled. One got his first skill (guard) while the other got the first double! (block). The team purchased reroll number 2. Game note: First TD AND first INT! Game 6: v.s. River Sol Reavers (Human). A 3-0 loss. Exciting game. The ogres almost scored on a long bomb. Wasn't meant to be. Two ogres skilled (both getting guard) which makes all players with at least one skill. Game 7: v.s. Rock__Splatters (Dwarves). Lost 3-0 to a squad of 10 dwarves. Not much could have been done as they BH two ogres right off the bat. Block skill was the difference and thick skull made sure there were no casualties dished out. One ogre got his second skill (+M) and a new teammate was welcomed into the locker room. Sygg. Game 8: v.s. Furry Bothers (Skaven). Gutterrunners are unstoppable. Lost this one 4-0 but managed to kill 3 rats. One of them was a freebooted runner. An ogre skilled and took break tackle as his second skill. Good coach with very good tactics. Game 9: v.s. Zhufbar Bruisers (Dwarves). A 2-0 loss. Very enjoyable. Sigmar1 taught me a thing or two about the reverse play which helped him score the first td of the game. After that Team Kraj played well, but just couldn't break through the tight defense of the Dwarves. Would love to play Sigmar1 again, any time. Game 10: v.s. Busy Boys (Orcs). 1-0 loss (concession). I'm not a big fan of the opposing coach. I was awarded a handicap and got knuckle dusters. Problem with the handicap was all my players were ogres so I had no one to give it to. This has happened before and they only way to deal with it is to restart the game. The opposing coach "suggested" I wanted to restart because I didn't like the handicap. I tried to explain to him I would gladly play on but the game wouldn't let me continue. He was suspect and when I told him to ask admin or other coaches and he found out that it was indeed the case no apology was proffered. When we re-started I SI'd one of his players and he had to use his apotho. After that he dropped from the game. I say dropped because when I tried to contact him via PM there was no response. I waited half-an-hour! Finally we got scheduled to play again and he never once suggested a time to play. I finally gave up and asked the admins to just make the problem go away. They gave him the victory through concession and I lost 2 weeks of valuable development time. So in short, don't play TommyK. Not worth the time (unless you have 2 weeks) and definately not worth the effort or grief this coach will put you through. I'm hoping my next opponent will be a littel more on the "pleasant " side. |
