A few new moon's ago, the ATL Falcons were born. The FUMBBL Commissioner Christer granted ownership to Frogboy. The name Falcons was suggested by Julia Elliott a high born school teacher from Griffin Mountain who won a contest. Though 40 other contestants had also suggested the name, Elliott wrote in an essay, "The falcon is proud and dignified, with great courage and fight. It never drops its prey. It's deadly and has a great sporting tradition." Among the many suggested names were the Knights, Bombers, Rebels, Crackers, Thrashers, Lancers, Firebirds, Fireballs and Thunderbirds. Frogboy would draft Tommy Nobis, LB, University of Light with the first pick of the FUMBBL Draft, making him the first ever Falcon. Tommy Nobis later died two days later in a training collision.

The ATL Falcons had their first game against the Tribe of the dark before a crowd of 26,072 at the ATL Stadium. The Falcons would lose against the Tribe of the dark, forma Chaos cultists Tarl and Hexer scored the two TD's receiving and running for a combined 51 yards. Their first ever home victory was against Dog Collared, 3-1 to a crowd of 57,169.
