Season 3 - Qpool The Smashers enter the arena of the Southern Wastes mid-season, only reaching 8 out of the possible 10 games but coming off strongly in the games they did play. Placed in Division 4 for the forthcoming season, The Smashers play such a convincing streak in the annual Gentlemen's Picnic(coming Runner-up) that they are bumped up to Division 3. Season 4 - Division 3 With an incredibly strong performance the doughty dwarves manage to seal the season, coming first place without a loss. Before Division 2, we would like to take some time out to appreciate our Twahnlow winning talent. Taking away the Copper Boot for gratuitous fouling here is Ton Thunderhammer . And also Crasx Ironhead winner of the Copper Knuckle for excessive blocking. Season 5 - Division 2 A poor season 5 for the Smashers leaves them sitting 5th on the Division 2 table, after many bribes to various judiciary councils a new ruling system brought in to the SWL tournament quietly gives a relegation match the pass over. Leaving the Smashers with another season to attempt to gain Premiership and even some grudges in the great book. Enter the Gentlemen's Picnic, an illustrious affair attended by all from near and far in the Southern Wastes. The Smashers show consistent performance to reach the final of this great event for the 2nd time running, including vanquishing last seasons Picnic winner, but again fall just shy of the real glory. More candles will be burnt writing in the book of grudges. Season 6 - South West Conference Season 6, and nothing could go wrong for the stalwart Smashers, taking out the South West Conference without a loss to be promoted to Premier. And in The Smashers 3rd appearance in the annual Gentlemen's Picnic, and 3rd appearance in the final, they finally manage to take the prestigious position of PICNIC CHAMPIONS Season 7 - Premier Division A perfect start for The Smashers first season in Premier, winning every match and scaring 2 teams so badly that they didn't show at the pitch for 3 potential matches, making the dwarves PREMIER CHAMPIONS!. Also, The Twahnlows return for Season 7 and The Smashers didn't go unmentioned. Taking away the Golden Knuckles award Grak Redeye. and the Golden Fist winner Riff Boulderbrother After all the walking over the Southern Wastes to empty stadiums, the boys can surely be given some leeway in Season 8, after all, they must all have extremely sore feet from all that walking, aye ref *nudge**nudge*... Season 8 - Premier Divison The Smashers are sure to dig deeply into the team finances for drinking money, the first match of the new season and another no-show leaves the dwarves bored and surly(er). Finally a walk in the park with local greenskins Wanna Beatin give The Smashers some game time. Followed by a good game versus the always tryin Black Crowes, the dwarves actually get outcassed!. An awesome game with the self-proclaimed best in the business (at fouling), say that again when we there isn't a 20% luck-o-meter diff dead boys!. The game that ended the winning streak, poor effort by the dwarves, great effort by the orcs, and another 2 deaths to add to the 2 from last game. The death of The Smashers? waiting to be seen. The last 2 games versus the two Lizardman teams both end in draws. While a lot lower in ST, the dwarves end up causing a swath of casualties. Unfortunately. a win in the last game goes begging after a Saurus makes a 6+,5+ dodge to blitz the ball-carrier before a td. This still leaves us sitting first equal on the championship, and beating the Warlizards by touchdown count-back. Unfortunately, the Slumbering Skinks manage to draw their last game, ending up first equal as well, and thanks to some amazing bribes payed to most of the administrative staff, The Smashers end up piped for the title, and come second. Can you say Grudge?, kinda an anagram for dwarf. The end of season Twahnlow awards come through and The Smashers snag a few. Kahn Rockarm after holding the team together so well, gain recognition for his hard work.Winner of the award for best and fairest in the premiership division this season, the Twahnlow Medal. Also, the winner of the Golden Fist and Golden Knuckles awards and Crasx Ironhead also takes away the Golden Knuckles award. Season 9 - Premier Divison A very disorganized season for the Premier Division, The Smashers manage to play a grand total of 5 games. Unfortunately this was one more than any other actively participating team as a few teams dropped out after only playing one match. Performing well in the matches they did play, The Smashers took the Premiership title for the second time. As well as a swag of Twahnlows Crasx Ironhead takes away the Golden Knuckles and Golden Shield for the highest number of casualties and blocks respectively. And Kahn Rockarm receives the Golden Slipper and Golden ball for the most yards gained from rushing and the most touchdowns. After 6 seasons in the formal divisions of The Southern Waste League, 3 in the Premier Division. The Smashers retired from their pole position to move into the informal Open League of the Southern Waste Fringe. In particular as opening players for the Thunderdome League. Season 10 - Southern Waste Fringe Thunderdome League The Smashers only manage a draw in the opening match of the Thunderdome versus the Karaz Krasherz and are relegated to general Thunderdome League play. Only managing one match against an undersized Ogre outfit, The Smashers look forward to a more match filled season as the League rolls on. Season 11 - Southern Waste Fringe Taking the entire season off for relaxation, recreation and solo sporting careers, The Smashers are placeholders in the giant abyss of the Fringe while the players and management attempt to spend the massive Southside riches the team has garnered. Not an easy task when nearly every pub and brewery in the land gives hefty discounts to the holders of so many SWL titles. Season 12 - Southern Waste Fringe Half the Smashers being broke, and the other half awaiting trial, management hastily books a match mid-season. Despite fast gaining a reputation of lazy drunkards and louts, finding a willing opponent proved difficult. The match against the Webl Wascals proved why. Season 13 - Southern Waste Fringe Beyond Thunderdome After languishing in the doldrums for so long, The Smashers players felt a bit more focused to play BB with empty pockets. Unfortunately, with poor finances and the new, more "Gentlemanly" rules, Copper Boot winner Ton Thunderhammer and 62 game veteran Yuri Gravelmakerwere released from the team. With two-thirds of the iron-boot brigade off the team, many fans are dismayed at what this portends for The Smashers future.
