Once, long ago, Azan Ref was considered the mightiest of the enforcers of Pez's will. A fearsome official, but his job was not considered complete until the banishment of all those who would use the service of Pez for their own twisted ends. After many years of toil, Azan finally found peace.

But it was not to last. A restlessness began tugging at his soul, a sense that his work was not yet complete. Through sheer force of will, he manifested himself in the world once more, to find it overrun with practitioners of the heretical sport of Blood Bowl. Worst of all, his worst enemies were risen once more, and embracing the sport. Binding the souls of his fellow officials to near-empty vessels, Azan Ref once more led his companions in persuit of the Pembroke Pirates.
