TEAM HISTORY AND NOTABLE GAMES

I: Humble Beginnings

Game 1 vs Sons of Malice - 26/01/2012:
And they're off! A rocky start to the new franchise as funding proves to be an issue for the citizens of the provincial Empire town of Bayernhoff, but the first recruits prove their investors proud in a convincing 3-0 victory over the Sons of Malice, a band of Malal cultists affiliated with warbands that had been plaguing the region for years. Standout stars already include blitzersLeopold Struker and Heinrich 'Pulveriser' Peterson. A skinny, tall youth of just 17, with striking features and bleach blond hair named 'Max Schmerz' scoops the panel decided MVP...

Game 4 vs Garbinarts - 27/01/2012:
The Bengals follow up a hard 3-0 defeat with a crushing 4-0 victory against rookie goblins Garbinarts, their joint greatest victory to this day. Big Yan, the up and coming ogre player scored two touchdowns himself, beginning a career that would shine.

Game 11 vs Inlizard Expectation - 30/01/2012:
The lads pull off another fantastic 4-0 win against the lizard team Inlizard Expectation, Heinrich 'Pulveriser' Peterson and Big Yan proving they can hit with the best of them, tearing up the terrified skinks. Max Schmerz turns veteran as he scores his second touchdown, the experience enabling him to use his impressive dexterity to full effect - the Bengals have a ball carrier!

**01/02/2012**
Bayernhoff Bengals win the Conference Season IV! A fantastic first title for our boys with a commendable record of 13/1/2. Big things await this promising squad.

II: The Big Reshuffle

Games 20 - 24, 01/02/2012 - 06/02/2012:
The Bengals' Dark Lands tour end in disappointment for their ever increasing fan-base, finishing with a record of 1/1/3. We saw the death of first hitting hero Heinrich 'Pulveriser' Peterson, signalling the end of the fist era of the Bengals. Infusing the team and its staff with a burning animosity against the scheming Dawi-Zharr (critics of the tour say gambling touts had more to do with the play of the game than the 5 opposition chaos dwarf teams themselves), opponents 'Extra Small', 'Still Hairy but Rolling' and the 'Brainless Killers added to the grudge match list.

III: The Rise of Max

Game 35 vs Lammer Generation in the Box - 18/02/2012:
Just a seriously epic game that will go down in the annals of Bayernhoff's history. Severely outnumbered from the start against some well developed lizards, we were always up against it, but some clever maneuvering and chain push action from the newly appointed team captain Max Schmerz unbelievably saw the plucky humans to a 2-1 victory! The fans were ecstatic and Herr Schmerz was shot to fame, his role now undisputed among former nay-sayers, disapproving of his scandalous off pitch antics.

Game 45 vs Alareth Ninjas - 01/03/2012:
And Max becomes legend. In a horrible match against a pro elf team, every cloud has a silver lining as the human hero picks up the panel voted MVP and ascends into everlasting fame. The first legend to be coached by Coach and a very, very cool one at that.

IV: Pax Max - The Golden Age

**01/04/2012**
Bayernhoff Bengals win the Conference Season V! Not only beating their past record with a 14/0/2 record but also becoming the first team in the League to win two back-to-back first place titles. Next stop - the Prem.

Game 56 vs Mind Bullets - 06/04/2012:
In a grand publicity stunt, team captain Max Schmerz, disillusioned with just being a legend quits the game half way through amid an impressive display of mediocrity. Boos shake the stadium while Max heads off for a month's holiday in an amazonian resort of Lustria. He returns re-invigorated and with his all new uniform, to denote his hero status. It would of course be entirely unfitting for such a chiseled face to cooped inside a helmet where there are no maidens to gaze upon it, so this was duly left out from the design. Club investors are furious at the sheer display of arrogance and narcissism, Max insists it's all 'For the fans'.

Game 58 vs D.a.R.K - 10/04/2012:
The boys pull off another stunning 4-0 victory over dark elf team D.a.R.K - one for the history books and vindication for Max and his supporters over the critics.

Game 75 vs Not Guilty Rats - 27/04/2012:
The Bengals worst defeat to date in a shocking game against skaven team Not Guilty Rats (since retired). A scandalous game which was being investigated by the NAF as accusations of illegal substance use (some rare warpstone derivative no doubt) and underhand poisoning run amok. 4-0 to the rats, may they choke on their cheese!

V: Turbulent Times

Games 86 - 103, 19/07/2012 - 27/08/2012:
The Bengals go through a rough patch, unable to live up to the fans' gleaming expectations, poor performances all round resulting in defeat after defeat after defeat. Buck up lads!

**01/08/2012**
BAYERNHOFF BENGALS WIN THE PREMIERSHIP SEASON VII! A superb run from Max and the lads puts the Bengals on top of the Human League Premiership standings with a record of 12/0/2. Max celebrates the occasion in his usual style by setting a temple on fire, buying out several dwarven breweries and instigating what he dubbed the now infamous 'The-Mother-Humping-Barbeque-Bloody-Extremo'.

Game 92 vs Blocked Memories - 16/08/2012:
Alas! Ogre superstar Big Yan has been slain by a brutal hit from Claw POMBing chaos worshipper Chad. Hundreds of halfling whores were in hysterics at the news of Yan's sad demise, Max Schmerz himself shedding an uncharacteristic tear (before slapping a water boy and impregnating several women). Never has the Coach had such a fantastic big guy, who proved a stalwart bastion on the line of the defence. RIP Big Yan!

Game 99 vs Azazinos Maximizados - 20/08/2012:
A crushing defeat from a Claw POMBing pact team that went beserking, sending 5 plucky humans to the casualty box in just 5 hits. Some mid game heroics from Max had the crowd on the edge of their seats, but hopes were dashed as a fortunate blitz from a marauder trips the legend, stunning him as his head impacts on the ground. We say farewell to star blitzer Hans Lubeck, a hitting presence that will be surely missed.

Game 100 vs Min-Max and we still suck - 05/09/2012:
The Bengals hit their first big milestone, having played 100 games since their inception. A not-so-notable 2-1 loss to a dirty fouling khemri team sees two of our brave lads play for the final time, dead and buried at the hand (foot?) of a skeleton's boot.

VI: Re-emergence (Agility squad MkI)

Game 104 vs Hidden Among the Bushes - 03/09/2012:
The Bengals take down a Box superstar, Tarabaralla's Wood Elf team Hidden Among the Bushes in a nail biting scuffle. Wardancer legend Chiappo bashed our boys around like nobody's business and soon we were outnumbered by the slender gits, but Max Schmerz saves the day, an untouchable force the wood elves were just unable to counter. 2-1 to the Bengals.

Game 109 vs Death Karma - 04/09/2012:
A stirling 2-1 victory against fearsome chaos team Death Karma coached by DukeTyrion where to a man the Bengals did Bayernhoff proud. Some fantastic individual performance awards go out to passing-combo extraordinaires Pieter Jorrig and Gustav Osselboch and of course Max Schmerz, for his sheer tenacity and impressive sprint speed that clinched the win. Team ogre Boris took an unfortunate niggling injury to go with his dodgy neck, numbering the playing days for the un-extraordinary big guy. Coach's search for a Big Yan replacement continues.

Game 111 vs TV Basso - 05/09/2012:
Take that orcs! The boys do it again, matching their touchdown record with a 4-0 win over greenskin team TV Basso

Game 113 - 06/09/2012:
Gustav Osselboch improves on his natural talent for dexterity to the point where it'll have a dramatic impact on his game. With three players now sharing Gustav's new found talents the squad looks set for a new age of glory after a lengthy period of stagnation. Rumours of a FUMBBL cup appearance abound should our good fortunes continue...

Game 114 vs Principi - 07/09/2012:
Caught flat footed at the whistle, the scrawny kicker of legendary team Principi proves his salt as the vampires swarm over the line. The unworldly physique of the undead menaces just proves too much as they control the field doing no wrong while the human team, shaken by their formidable, entirely strange opponents fail to catch a break. 2-1 to coach Tarabaralla, we'll get ya next time!

Game 116
vs Chuck Versus Bloodbowl - 11/09/2012:

The Bengals take a hammering at the hands of Blackbox legends and champions of the FUMBBL cup, Chuck versus Bloodbowl. The chaos scum were on top bashing form, pasting 11 of our brave lads in a mere 22 hits! Nothing quite seemed to go right for us, even Max falling victim to a vicious blitz and the game ended at 3-0...the Bengals vow revenge...

**01/10/2012**
Bayernhoff Bengals win the Conference Season VIII! Not their best record at 11/2/3, but the lads still win out against rivals Destined to Die and the Kingston Kruelty. Team rebuilding plans are in place to bring the squad back up to snuff for another premiership title.

Game 134 vs Memes' Madness - 04/10/2012:
Gustav Osselboch trips over his own feet dodging into open pitch, falling and impaling himself on a buried spike in the ground. The apo tried his best with magical poultices but for naught - the man was dead. And so ends the brief tangental journey of 'the Agility Squad', captain Max Schmerz alone at the front, again.

VII: Mourning Max

VIII: Ups and Downs

Game 161 vs Goddess Fill- 31/07/2013: What a game. Facing off against a bruiser lizardman team with an exceptionally gifted skink (+St, +Ag, block) things got off to a shaky start. The boys got their bash on upon seeing the ball carrier surrounded and out-outmaneuvered the reptiles for the score. There was little to be done against the star skink who whipped in a TD in the opening 3rd quarter - 1:1. A solid offensive play left the cold blooded demons flat footed as the Bengals put the teams new found elf-game to great effect, however despite the odds, Kinkiss-mega-skink performed his magic, double pow -2'ing the ball loose into the crowd who promptly threw it into the lizards lines. Shit. A failed saurus pick up left us in a slightly more favourable position which Quick Fynn capitalised on, scooping up the ball in a particularly deft maneuver. Alas, his feet failed his and he stumbled getting the ball to the line where it was picked up and rushed forward by Kinkiss in the closing seconds of the game. The opponent coach was halfway down the stands looking to shake hands for the end of a well fought draw but the Bengals do not accept defeat so easily. Unspectacular ogre Pieface Muttonchops determined to redeem himself made an extraordinary blitz on mega-skink, dodging and sprinting to smash the astonished lizard to the ground. Instantly seeing the unexpected opportunity, blitzer Dieter Macht yells to his comrade Maverick Constantine while pulling himself to the touchdown zone, who hears his cry, breaks the saurus tackle, graps the ball precariously in hand and hurling it on the turn. The pass is good, and so are Dieter's hands - 2:1 to the Bengals. The crowd goes beserk and proceed to celebrate with the piss up of the season.

Game 165 vs Gamurri - 03/08/2013:
Take that chaos! Gave chaos team Gamurri a 4:0 hammering, the star scoring power of duo Quick Fynn and Marillion Fisch proving a potent combo, despite suffering heavy casualties.

Game 170 vs ThePinkTroll - 05/08/2013:
Took one of the biggest beat-downs in Bengal history, sustaining 9 casualties, 7 of which in the first half despite the help of a team of apothecaries. Underworld team ThePinkTroll are added to the grudge list. Star agility blitzer Maverick Constantine III is permanently injured along with a score of his comrades, numbering his playing days.

Game 180 vs Hell Grannies - 20/08/2013:
Facing the long-lived (and highly successful) amazon team Hell Grannies the boys from Bayernhoff faced a bitter and frustrating 3:0 defeat. Every play attempted failed, men tripped over their feet and 'zon fists, feet and elbows found their targets with unerring ease. Perhaps the unsettling aura of their vaunted foes caught the Bengals off guard or perhaps it was simply a case of bad leadership

Game 190 vs Punji Stakes - 05/02/2014:

Game 194 vs Punji Stakes -06/02/2014:

Game 200 vs Dance of Dead - 20/02/2014

Game 205 vs Wild Dragons - 02/03/2014

29/12/14
Sitting at a W/D/L of 3/2/7 the Bengals are looking in poor shape, sitting with a total of 227 games under their belt. Some blame the leadership of captain Tyr Ulrikson, the extroverted norse-man unable to handle the pressure. Others blame the talent coming into the team not being up to snuff. Others yet believe the management isn't what it used to be and the Bengals have lost their way in an attempt to emulate other teams. What everyone agrees on is the diminished fan base is a sign of the times and that these are dark days indeed for Bayernhoff's finest.
