My first foray into Stunty since LRB4. Nuffle help me.




~ Game 1 ~
0-2 loss v. Chaos Halflings

Probably would have been able to tie the game if I'd tried - had a player advantage Turn 3 (my 9 v. his 4 + 2 BG's), just past midfield - but wanted to see how TTM worked. "Not very well" is the answer, and the ball carrier was stunned ''(likeliest result, it turns out)'', with the ball next to him on the 3 yard line. Likewise the "rescue" TTM to help next turn. But 2 turns after that, TTM succeeded - so the opposition simply scampered away from slow Gnomes, and made a long 5+ pass which missed so became a punt for their 2nd score.

Only 11 spp, but 2 went to each of 1 Frenzy and Sprinter, 2 more & MVP to 2 linos. Lucky 50k losing gate is everything we have - 1 player MNG, but 10k short for a 2nd Sprinter - we'll risk 11 players next game and wait for quality.

~ Game 1 ~
0-2 loss v. Horrors


A very tame game, no perms but could never punch past all the high St, two 3's and two 5's. Lots of pows, not a single cas. (Out of nowhere, Diving Catch came in handy on a missed bomb throw!)

Only 5 spp - that says it all - fortunately on a Bomber. And a max losing roll, so we can afford both our 2nd Daredevil w/ 50 remaining for a 3rd Bomber next time.


~ Game 3 ~
0-1 loss v. Horrors


Failed a Turn 8 Dodge to stop the score, and failed a Turn 16 3+ pickup for the tie. Diving Catch is great against bombs, but need Catch to make it work. Beer is a negative inducement to moving players before rolling dice.

8 spp, cannon got a Cas, lino got MVP, no skills, no perms, the law of averages attacks and I get only 10k - but that's just enough for our 3rd Bomber, Sparky.



~ Game 4 ~
0-0 TIE v. Goblin Cheaters


-350k, took extra Apo, extra RR, 1 BB and stabby star (for 320). Held him to no score twice, the second time down 3 players to 9 (5 out by chainsaw). Stab is very unreliable, since you can't RR it. (And Diving Catch v. Bombs rocks, but needs additional skills to help it.)

Dual Ball and Chain off the (offensive) LoS is brutal. (Maybe set up further back?)

One "mistake"(?) - could have guaranteed a 2d Frenzy/Block blitz on a Chainsaw ballcarrier (accidentally caught the KO on the LoS), but went for a single 3+ Dodge to allow unmarked Daredevil to remain to scoop the loose ball - and failed. I think I'd do it again.

And it's Stunty, but an utterly gratuitous T16 surf? Coach ilpars = weak.

Bbr got the only spp, Cas for 2, Cannon got MVP for 5 (oppo only got 9). Zero spp Lino killed, rookie Daredevil -AV. Only 20k gate. Still no skills. Bleh.



~ Game 5 ~
1-2 Loss v. Skryre Slaves


7x Str 1 Guards is a mixed blessing. Client glitch sent only remaining MA5/8 DD MIA for first drive, which didn't help, but bombs did some good work. Starting to learn to use TTM, but haven't mastered MA 4 field position, esp on D. Lesson: DO NOT HAVE ANY FAITH IN STUNTY SKILLS!!!

12 app, hoped for some badly needed skills, and had 4 players @ 5 spp and 6 more who would have skilled w/ MVP, but all landed on just 2 players. But got +St DD and +MA Lino - which is great, but aren't "skills" per se, so same team problems. Token 10k gate, but no perms.

~ Game 6 ~
1-2 Loss v. Goblin Cheaters

Almost stopped both drives - 2nd one scored only due to a Turn 7 riot. Still don't know roster.

11 spp (v. 17) - Lino skilled up w/ Guard, but -AV DD was killed, and only 10k Gate for 40k total. Gotta start winning.

~ Game 7 ~
1-2 Loss v. Horrors


Very close v. a 210 higher TV team - a TTM w/ Jump Up on a wide, deep kick worked better than a Blitz. Induced star Stabber worked well for a Turn 0 Blitz, then snaked to BH himself on a 2+ Dodge turn 1, so he didn't earn his keep. All 3 bombers out by end of game.

But 3 skills! 2 Slayers: one Blackler and a Blodger! And a Bomba goes with Pass. MVP to another Bomba who now has 5 spp along with a cannon and lino - gotta skill them (and skill Bomba before he's ejected!!)

Only 20k gate - but just enough for replacement for 2nd DD! We are becoming a team!

~ Game 8 ~
1-1 Tie v. Skyre Slaves
(TV +300)

Thought I'd win - lots of snakes, a bad bounce on a HMP for the 2-0 lead - but a Turn 16 tie. Oh well.

60k gate is a nice change and gives 14th player (& only 5th lino), and 2 key skills: Pass on 1st Cannon and 2nd Bomber. (Still, don't rely on Ag 3!)

~ Game 9 ~
0-1 loss v. Gnomes


Almost had the defensive score first half - then lost position control. Had the tying score nailed, but a lucky bomb stunned about everyone, and so another loss. One knee-jerk RR each half - COUNT TO 5!!!

Outblocked 2:1 (49:26), and paid for it in Cas - rewatch if you need to see how this happened. Also - use Bombers more - Ag 3 needs 6 to Int (mark makes any throw-back tougher).

Lino skilled for MB (we'll see...), MVP to rookie lino (who will mng), but only 10k gate - need another lino to avoid losing SW's on end-of-half kickoffs. (14 players first; 4th bomber later... maybe.)
