Team History

ARR! sprint (games 1-16)
The team started out with an ARR! sprint, which looked promising at first but then deteriorated a bit to a 7-5-4 record. However, two +ST players meant potential, and they did manage to stay ahead of cdassaks Gobbos (if barely). (Okay, cdassaks record breaking Flings rushed past). It was enough for a Top 10 spot and a Racial RunnARR Up, and the management decided that given its time limitations sprinting would be off limits for the foreseeable future.

Tournaments (games 17-49)
For some time the coach's primary goal on Fumbbl was winning a Box tourney, so Rise Like a Phoenix strived to enter every ARR! Brawl that came their way. They nailed it on second attempt! They also became the coach's go-to Box Major team. Made a good run in the Crown of Sand 2515, losing the qualifier semi in a very close match to the Vault Tec Squad. Made an even better run in the Black Cup 2515, making it to the final eight before losing to none lesser than Burn Notice. They were leading the TOP Rankings for Box High Elf team of the year 2515 for most of the year, but then Asuryan's Phoenices snatched it away with their Fumbbl Cup run. That hurt!

2516 saw them appearing in another Major quarter final, this time in the Crown of Sand, where they lost to Godzillah. They are now officially the coach's best tournament team. The Fumbbl Cup XV saw them receive a trimming at the hands of Woeful Wonders, losing their top star and hitter, Boy George, and two more players, going down from 2100k to 1790k TW.

Rebuild (games 50 to present)
The team needed a new hitter, a bench and some gold in the treasury and so, reluctantly, they went back to the regular Box draw to try and rebuild. But as these things go, they lost another 200k of TV first.

MB Blitzer, 45 games, 460 blocks, 32 cas, 94 SPP. Not a stat freak but one who worked very hard and contributed a lot to our successful tourney runs. Made top 3 in several lists for active High Elf (Box). Killed by Woeful Wonders in the Fumbbl Cup XV.
