As a nation, Tilea is politically divided into serveral city-states who have fractious relationships with each other. Tilea is the land of merchants, mercenaries, money and anarchy. The Tilean Regional University remains independent of the politics and acts as an educational institution for the traders and mercenaries to send their children. While their fans may not get along, they are all fiercely proud of their nation. With a campus in each of six city states (Remas, Miragliano, Luccini, Trantio, Pavona and Verezzo), the Diavoli divide home games amongst them equally. Unfortunately, due to the rivalries between the states and the mistrust associated, it is hard for the Diavoli to exploit the full potential of funding in the region.

Campuses

Remas is the biggest city in Tilea, and has the largest University campus. However, this has not meant for a successful team in the intercampus Tilean Cup. In 25 seasons of the Cup, the Remas Foxes have only taken the trophy on three occassions. The Foxes use the city's huge Colosseum for their home games, with a capacity of 51,000 the team's average attendance of 6,000 look lost in such a space. The Diavoli are expected to fill the stadium, and make for an intimidating welcome for the CBBA visitors.

Luccini is a thriving port in the south of Tilea. The town is fiercely parochial and routinely fill their modest stadium, The Den (capacity 16,000), for all sporting occasions. The local campus team, the Leopards, are reasonably successful having lifted the Tilean Cup 7 times. The town exhibit a powerful animosity towards neighbours Verezzo.

Verezzo have the most successful of the university Blood Bowl teams. The Stallions have held the Tilean Cup a record 11 times, and have completly dominated the competition in recent years. The local stadium, The Arena (capacity 15,000), is always full and the town is looking at expanding it in a major redevelopment.

Trantio has the only school of Engineering in Tilea. The students have a strong culture of drinking and supporting their team, The Vipers. Despite a strong support base the team is one of the least successful of the University, having won the Tilean Cup only once. They play out of the compact stadium, The Pit (capacity 12,000)

Miragliano is a large city in the far north of Tilea. The university team The Goats have are renowned for their physical style of play. Despite the city's big population, the campus is one of TRU's smaller ones. The stadium, The Chapel (capacity 15,500), often sees a boistrous crown which keep the local constabulary busy on match day. The Goats have lifted the Tilean Cup three times.
Faculties: Science, War, Commerce


Pavona is the smallest of the six Tilean campuses. The symbol of the city is the swift. However, due to their perpetual failure at Blood Bowl, the team has picked up the moniker Pigeons. Sport is not a big part of Pavonan life and the stadium, The Nest, is a very modest one (capacity 8,000)
Faculties: Art, Creative Arts, Wizardry


Little is known about the campus of Sartosa. Some claim there is no such campus. They have never been represented in the Tilean Cup, and are not on the rotation for Diavoli home games. The island of Sartosa is well known as a den of piracy, corruption and organised crime.

For the Diavoli's first season in the CBBA, Vice Chancellor Leopoldo Andaloro sought to avoid intercampus hostility by appointing a head coach from outside of the six University city states.

Head Coach, Remo Chiappa (aka ramchop) has thus far kept out of the public eye. The reclusive coach comes to TRU from the island of Sartosa, where he apparently had a successful coaching career in the Pirate League. Hopefully he can bring such success for Tilea in the CBBA.






Assistant Coach, Mila Fiore Pisciotta is very much the spokeswoman for the team. She claims to have had a key role in the selection of the head coach, by "convincing" Vice Chancellor Andaloro to give Remo the job. Three of Mila's boys played for the Diavoli in its first three seasons. Youngest child Zita looks to be the star of the current season.






Remo and Mila have two Trainers supporting their efforts. However, it is thought they have little influence over the team, and are mere servants to the coaching pair.








Apothecary Drago Mancini comes to the Diavoli from the Pavona Institute of Wizardry where he was a junior tutor. There are rumours that prior to this he was expelled from the Remas School of Medicine after an inappropriate incident with a cadaver.







The Daemonettes (Fina and Brandi) are two of the most mesmerising, sexiest, and downright filthy beings you'll ever witness at a game of Blood Bowl. These Cheerleaders are highly skilled at distracting opposition players, sadly they have a similar effect on their own. Summoned to the team by Drago, it is yet to be confirmed if they are even human, or if their powers of enchantment are something supernatural.






The third member of the Cheerleader squad is ex-Diavoli player Benito Triscari. A shocking incident meant Beni was banned for life from all CBBA activities for assaulting a referee. He hides his identity frolicking on the sidelines dressed in an imp suit, performing lewd acts, and off his face drunk.







Mascot Mira, a mountain lion cub, was gifted to the team by the Miragliano Zoology department when in the early stages of establishing the team it was thought that they'd be called the Wild Cats. Assistant Coach Mila, claims that Mira is a good luck charm and that if he eats a meal of fish before a match, Nuffle will be happy. The cub however, prefers the taste of red meat and will often take chunks out of the poor Trainers who are forced to feed the wild animal.

Have patience, the team hasn't even finished their first season yet.
