Deep within the World's Edge Mountains, at the confluence of three rivers lies the Peaksblight, a towering mountain stronghold of the Bakk an Yella Night Goblin tribe.

Peaksblight was a former Dwarven stronghold until it was over-run, complete with it's own stadium deep within the mountainside. Confused by this discovery, the chief of the Bakk an Yella tribe Looney Rooney called out to the one person who could help him, the Great Gobbo.

Unfortunately the Great Gobbo lived a long way away from the World's Edge Mountains and so didn't hear the call, so Looney Rooney sent a carrier squig to bring his message to the Great Gobbo. This would have worked if it was the Great Gobbo and not his pet squig Nigel who had answered the door as both the message and messenger were promptly eaten (prisoners convicted of the most heinous crimes are forced to be the Great Gobbos postman because of Nigel, uniform not provided).

As all this was going on the team were getting beaten left right and center, so much so that word started to filter back into the Blood Bowl community that there was a new challenger for the highly prized title of worst team ever. The Great Gobbo heard about the plight of his Night Goblin cousins and decided to help out and coach the team whenever he could, thus entering a new and glorious chapter into the annals of Gobbo Blood Bowl History.
