History

Erengrad Vikings has been part of DLE since it's inception. During season 1 they had a coach that then left, and main coach since then has been Spelledaren.

Plays in Sigmar Heldenhammer Conference, North Division.
Divison rivals are:
Carroburg Crimson Cascade. Coached by ttorvatn.
Praag Grizzlies. Coached by AutoAxpert, earlier coach sonrises.
Wolfenburg Wolfskins. Coached by ChrisRatbane, earlier coaches Laskas and Danish_Dan.

Season 2:
Division winner. Beaten out by Kemperbad Knights in first play off game. Knights went on to win the Super bowl.

Season 3:
Division winner. Cascade also made play off as a wild card. Beaten out by... Kemperbad Knights.

Season 4:
19 points ends up being not enough, as Vikings lose the play off spot on conference percentage to...Kemperbad Knights. New division coach Laskas takes Wolfskins to play off.

Season 5:
An almost magical season, where Vikings weighed in as one of the top teams in the tournament. Only 1 loss in the regular season was still not enough for division victory and a bye, as Laskas took Wolfskins to an undefeated run. Lost first play off game vs Buccaneers despite being heavily ahead in TW.

Season 6:
Vikings suffer several losses, and all but one of the old guard leave the team. Final score is 17 points, Vikings' lowest score so far. Praag Grizzlies rise to power and make it all the way to Super Bowl.

Season 7:
Division winner. Vikings use skilling and the draft to load up on Dodge, having no less than 9 blodge players available a short while into the season. It ends up being the most successful season yet, despite not having any mega stars. 11 victories and 24 points ends up being just not enough again, as the bye is lost to Rangers on head to head in the final game of the season. Play off saw Vikings take out Avalanche, and then fall to Rangers, barely. Grizzlies had a horrible season where several stars were maimed and killed.

Season 8:
Division winner. A mid season trade flurry brought on two ST4 stars and Vikings took home 13 points after that to secure the play off spot. Lost the first play off game vs wild card Bilbali Rangers, who now rise to be the real nemesis of the Vikings. Stipe Lipican, team Leader, became the first ever Vikings Legend.

Season 9:
Division winner, 1 point ahead of Cascade. Made it to conference final for the first time, defeating Marauders and Bruisers in play off, losing to White Wolves. Lipican was killed in play off. Joe Doe and Toretto became Legends.

Season 10:
Division winner. 1 point ahead of Wolfskins. Made it all the way to Super Bowl, was defeated by Thunder in overtime. Defeated Wolfskins, Manticores and Wreckers in play off. Aline Danford is the new team captain. Toretto retired.

Season 11:
Division winner. Needed to defeat Cascade in the very last game of the season, and did that in one of the craziest turns ever to score the winning TD. Lost first playoff game vs Avalanche. Sold Joe Doe at end of season, leaving no legends on the team.

Season 12:
Division winner - conference #1!. First season with 17 games, ended at 25 points. Grizzlies and Cascade both made playoff as well, making it the most successful season for the north. They lost their first games, we defeated Marauders and lost vs Manticores, who won the SB. Corey Fuller became a legend.

Season 13:
Our first losing season, as the last team in DLE. Ended third. Grizzlies won the division, but lost first playoff game. Traded out Fuller, and in with Hengist for season 14. Team looked for Stand firm as main skill in s14.

Season 14:
Bounced back! Made the overall #1 for the first time! 27 points. Lost first playoff game vs Avalanche, they went on to win the Super Bowl. Made a 2.0 TD average over the season, far ahead of other teams. Stand Firm en masse annoyed all opponents. Team has more agility than ever.

Past stars

Ogre Cyrus Kouandijo
Came as a first round pick of the first draft, bringing ST6 Guard to help focus the team. Played 69 games and behaved like a true star, but never learned Block. Scored a TD once after catching a desperate pass and running for it.

Zach Fulton
Zach started as a lineman with +ST and played 40 games with Vikings before being traded to Thunder. He brought an edge that helped us win the division twice, and the trade got us both Parker and Lipican, almost.

Stephen Hill
Hill was the most successful star of the Vikings to date, gaining 147 spp in our uniform, scoring 40 touchdowns, until Fuller passed him in season 13. His career was ended by Grizzlies when he daringly went ahead without protection to try and bring in another TD. He is seldom seen at Vikings games these days, maybe due to the rumours about him and coach spelledaren never really getting along after season 3.

Robert Griffin III
Griffin was a gamble that paid off. Traded in from White Wolves with busted armour and no block, his life on the field wasn't expected to last long. He played 36 games and was the brighest shining star through those games. He gained 93 spp, and made game deciding plays on many occasions. In season 4 he was a top runner and passer in the league, and he singlehandedly brought a victory against Patriots when he brought down Bortles in a daring blitz. Career also ended by Grizzlies.

Juqua Parker
Vikings traded for a killer at mid season 4, and he turned out to be the most vicious killer one could have asked for. Coming from Avalanche he already had all the skills needed to maim, and he went on to produce 12 casualties in that half season. He continued this path in season 5, finally being sold after season 6 with 33 cas for the Vikings. He was traded to the Sluggers, where he went to play off in season 7. He played two seasons there and made another 19 cas. After that he played one season for Legion, making 6 cas, becoming a Legend and making it to play off. After that he retired, with a cas total for all teams 80 - impressive!

Cornelius Washington
Unlike the many others on this list who have been 1st or 2nd round picks, Cornelius was chosen next to last in draft 5. He played far beyond expectations, making star quality plays on several occasions. He grew into the kind of blitzer that makes a team strong. In season 7 he was killed and saved twice, but finally not saved when his strength was broken vs Rangers.

Christine Michael
Christine was also a 4th round pick from draft 5, and another one that shined. Her speed gave her a chance to score, and she ended up being the best non-catcher scorer of the Vikings before the legends Toretto and Doe, with 10 touchdowns over 47 games. When her speed was reduced she learned mighty blow and became a main hitter for a while. She was sold in exchange for Dominic Toretto (plus a 1st) before season 8, and moved to the Knights. She played 64 more games for them and established herself as one of their most successful hitters ever before finally retiring with her 7th permanent injury.

David Brown
Brown joined the team from the pick gained on selling Parker. He played 52 games and always added great value. The team now lacks his frenzy, which was very good on AG4 and dodge. His strength was broken right at the start of season 8. He was one of few Vikings with a DA medal, a silver one.

Clayton Geathers
Another 4th round blitzer, joined the team in draft 6 and soon became an important part. Had the brightest time in season 7, dominating the blocking game for Vikings many times. Taylor of Patriots ended the career.

IK Enemkpali
A season 1 player from the first draft, IK has played the most games of any Vikings player, until passed by Fuller in season 13. He passed 100 games in the uniform by season 8, and was at the time the top fouler in DLE history. There was an outrage when he was traded away as part of a deal to bring on Joe Doe, a super star from Remas Eagles. Some say IK was valued too low. He continued fouling in Universe all the way to season 11, where he managed to regain the status as top fouler after Lexer had died. Shortly thereafter IK was also killed.

Kayvon Webster
Kayvon was traded in before season 6 from the 49ers, and turned out to be a very valuable asset. In season 7 he was a solid player who helped the team bring in 24 points, his dauntless skill giving us some surprising knock downs and opening up holes. He is the first star of the Vikings to die on the pitch, he had just picked up the ball and was going to dodge away and hand it over for 2-0 vs Cascade when he fell over and didn't get up again. His loss is mourned, and also remembered for being the same game where Nadja Kümmel of Cascade died in a similar manner.

Stipe Lipican
Lipican was the team captain for Vikings for several seasons. He played 90 games and garnered 138 SPP in the uniform. He became our first Legend and showed the way through many difficult games. He really did everything, taking us to three division wins in a row. While playing the first play off game in season 9 he was struck and killed, and there was no saving him. A section of the stadium has been renamed Lipican's Shoulder, for some of the most die hard fans.

Harry Bellower
Bellower was Vikings´ second true killer. He came in from division rival Wolfskins when they needed to make some room. With us he learned to Jump Up which was handy with low movement. He made a name for himself over two seasons, having his best moments in Vikings uniform. He is the second best hitter ever for us. Kippenberger of Cascade killed him.

Dominic Toretto
Bought as a perfect ball carrier he delievered on so many levels. He did everything on the pitch, developing a friendly rivalry with Joe Doe. He was part of the trio of legends that got the team to play off season 9, but he was sold to Unicorns at mid season 10, so never got to see the Super Bowl. He has now retired and enjoys both great wealth and fame.

Ryan Griffin
We bought Ryan from Buccaneers as a skilled thrower, and he delivered again and again in his position. He was on the fast track for Legend, making more than one completion every game, and he played a big part in bringing Vikings to several play off runs. He was killed in a losing game vs the rising Sharks.

Joe Doe
Doe could get a full autobiography here. Suffice to say that he was a shining star that carried the team through many games, and that Vikings always won the division while he played for us. 128 spp made him the fourth most successful player in team history. He was sold to Wolfskins with a bunch of permanent injuries, where he had a decent season. He moved on to Thunder, the team won the divison but Doe was killed (vs Wolfskins!)

Rhett Ellison
While Rhett never gathered enough star player points for a star status in Vikings, he must be included here anyway. He played a total of 155 games, 72 with Vikings. He was the trustworthy lineman, always in the right spot. He went to Pro Bowl three times, and was team captain for one ill-fated game before Danford took over. Killed on the field, memoriabilia with Ellison sells well...

Fred Bruschi
Fred was a promising blitzer from Broekwater that grew into a star in Wolfenburg. After he had his strength broken he got a chance to play for Vikings. Here he delivered his best plays yet, becoming top SHC hitter and helped the team to success, becoming a Legend himself. Sold to Thunder when team reloaded after losing in season 13.

Corey Fuller
Corey came in as a replacement catcher after Stephen Hill quit, traded from Razorbacks. He had a mediocre start, not really delivering for the first two seasons. But he stayed on, toiling away at his craft, and without anyone noticing became a legend, top Vikings scorer and best SPP earner, with most games played. Scored in Super Bowl 10, but also tripped in the end zone instead of winning it all. Traded to Marauders after season 13.

John Bull
We traded into the 4th round when this shining young one was still there. First season Super Bowl and he delivered again and again as an agile hitter over 5 season and 75 games. Stayed on with injuries but career ended on a foul vs Foxes.

*** Did you know...

Matt McCants was a valuable Viking for more than 60 games. When he was let go due to injury and chance to pick up a Block ogre as free agent, he joined the coaching staff of the Grizzlies, reportedly stealing the Vikings' playbook as he went. Grizzlies made it to Super Bowl soon after that...

...That Vikings had a record better than 0.500 in every season they have played? As of season 11 they were the only team to carry this destinction, until their losing season 13.

...That Vikings didn't have a losing record vs any KFC team until season 10 Super Bowl?
