Joseph Stalin attended SDP's 10th (additional)
Party Congress in November 1917 in order to encourage
Finnish workers to join the World Revolution.

At that time Stalin failed, for two months,
so did The Finnish People's Delegation,
short-lived revolutionary government
during the Finnish Civil War (1918).

In December 1918, the Party adopted again
democratic and parliamentary principles,
and has since been the leading reform movement
towards the Nordic welfare state in Finland.
