Hammers of the Hearts were formed in February 2018 by a group of Hibs legends who scored regularly against Hearts. They joined OBBA for Season 30 in the Conference North. Trophies: none Biggest win: 2-1 (Season 30, Conference North, v Olympique Lotharien) Longest winning run: 1 (22/03/18 - 02/04/18) Longest unbeaten run: 2 (22/03/18 - ) Season 30: Conference North Final position: Record: 1/1/3 Highlights: The season started with a tough 0-3 hammering from Levante UnDead. Hobgoblin Arthur Milne received a nasty smashed ankle, reducing his pace and meaning he misses the next match. It didn’t get much better in match 2, as the Hammers lost 2-0 to De-Throw-It FC while also suffering more casualties than the elves. Bull Centaur Gordon Smith was killed outright, but fortunately was patched up by the team’s apothecary. After match 2, the team finally gained their first skill: Bull Centaur Lawrie Reilly gaining the Block ability. The third game of the season v the Wood Elves Celfta de Laurelorn also ended in defeat, but Hammers finally got their first TD of the season, scoring first in a 2-1 defeat. In game 4, Hammers finally got their first win of the season - a 2-1 victory over the Wood Elves of Olympique Lotharien! Bull Centaur Gordon Smith gained the Block ability while Hobgoblin Hamilton Handling got Sure Hands. Game five was a 1-1 draw with Cheatanharm Town FC, a game in which Hammers were fortunate to get a last minute equaliser. The match witnessed the tragic death of Hobgoblin Garry O'Connor. Chaos Dwarf Willie Ormond gained the Guard skill. |
