Background

In the Glade of Eternal Midnight the sun never shines, it's the realm of moonlight-loving critters of all shapes and sizes. Few outsiders dare enter this place, but those who do are driven by the most basic need: food and shelter. If that who enters is pure, food and shelter will be provided, if not, the forest will be relentless in pursuing the unworthy away.

In the recent times though the expansion of the sport reached Athel Loren too, and now, as in various other parts of the forest, the custom is different: if you beat a team of local spirit wardens you are granted food and shelter and some wood too, if you loose you are kindly invited to go away. Local spirits are daft, nimble and fearless so beware of challenging them without the right resolve!

Head coach:
Kurnous gave det the head coach position of this team, as he usually dwells on the big oak that is in the middle of the glade.

Race:
The team is composed of spirit wardens that fall under the kurnous team as far as composition goes.

Team colours:
They can only be midnight blue and moonlight silver.

Stadium:
The pitch is nothing else than the Glade of Eternal Midnight itself, a huge clearing with an immense oak in the middle. When the teams are ready the markings appear on the field, the moon lights up the area and the forest blows the whistle. Creatures from all over the forest come to watch the matches and stands are provided for the visiting team's staff and any other being that wants to spectate.

Challengers

The Wardens of Eternal Midnight play also outside of the BIBBL circuit, under the name "WoEM Challengers". The Challengers games work as both practice for the team and coach where they can test formations and plays, and scouting moments too. To know more in the Challengers results and whereabouts go to their team page!

Game one...we really hit hard in our second encounter with the caos team: 2 warriors killed in the first turns...ouch! Then we scored 3 TD capitalising on any bad moment the opponent had. Good one for us!
Game two...well...playing totally unfocused vs too much guard and stand firm took it's toll...2 dead, 3 MNG etc...bah. Nuffled a TD even, but the rest was ugly to watch!
Game three we managed to defeat clan moulder in a really fun game. Plenty of awesome plays and good blocking and general fun!!
Game four wasn't played as the black dwarves withdrew.
Game five we brutalised clan Mors...rats where leaving the pitch left and right! We did suffer some damage ourselves too though...next game will be tough for sure, but this win puts us on top of the Eastern cornerstone!! Woah, another unexpected trophy for the spirits of the forest!! (no trophy to display yet though)
Game one...I think we scared to death the poor Zoats...ah well.
Game two...it didn't start well with a blitz followed by a 2+2+2+ game of ours where we used a reroll on the first 2+ and rolled a 1 on the third...we tried to keep it together but couldn't score due to misplays and stuff. Then hell broke loose in the coach's quarters and we had to play fast too...ahem...let's just say we were really lucky no one got hurt.
Game three we tried to foul and it really didnt pay off. We would have tied if our beloved Ag5 lad didn't decide to gain the skill no hands for the second half of the game...hehe.
Team is in rather good shape right now, but we are very unsure of what road to take with them...we'll think about it after spring!
Winter we went into hybernation...no one proposed for a game, we didn't either...I mean, why would we? We are somehow on a good streak of surviving players...and the coach took off for a bit too so no time to prepare for a friendly!
Our Bronze division start went like the first encounter with the vandals: stabbed to death. But it was better as we had no problem with it in the aftermath as the injury dice have been kind to us. Siweard didn't survive through the game unfortunately but overall the game went as expected.
Second game our offence was stalled and fouled with some surfing on both parts while in the second half we were outnumbered and started to foul back and it payed off, getting 3 key players out of the game and forcing a score so we had enough time to tie the game. Nice!
Third game we suffered at the beginning, with th rats perfectly exploiting a hole in our defense after having fouled nearly to death an important wild hunter! We came back to tie but unfortunately we messed up the defence and the rats scored again in the first half...only to he nearly pitch cleared by us the second half: damn good bashing from the elf-spirits! A tie and no injured players? Perfect!
Fourth game we managed to beat bretonnians after an abysmal start and after having both bears and cervus badly hurt...damn fouling, wizards and blocking! But then some pure elfplay saved the day for us! Go!
Fith game we nuffled, ahem, beat the dryads...couple of mistakes from both parts but we came up on top thanks to some real nice...ahem...plays, yeah, plays!
Sixth game we tied the centigors...hard fought and luck both sides.
Game one was our third victory. There was some panic due to the many secret weapons and in fact our poor Guarin got niggled, but in the end we managed a nice win.
Second game we managed to steal the win from under the changelings nose...with some daring actions and some good bit of help. And our second bear lives up to our first...awesome!
Third game we tied with the Shrine, really punching them hard though! Cynhard inflicted 5 casualties but got injured by the opponents monk in retaliation.
Fourth game another tie that cost the chaos team 2 dead players while we somehow emerged unscathed...lucky us!
Fith game we won...due to a forfeit...which...puts us on top, we ACTUALLY WON A TOURNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is most unexpected and most welcome really! Hurray!!
Well, first game was frustrating and no fun, now a good long pause to think what to do and hopefully get some enjoyment back!
Second game was really cool actually, we tied but are happier overall. Can't say we played well, but at least it was good fun!
Third game was another tie...where our bear scored a triple X while we were fouled much. It was a really good lesson in setup and play, luckily we didn't loose and suffered only one perm. But the thing is it's slowly starting to come together!!
Fourth game was...a win! You heard it right, a win!! Our Bear inflicted 4 casualties to the opponent and we won 2-1...woah!!!
Let's see what winter brings us. Will it be untold devastation or a buildup season? Wait and see!

In the end we lost 2 but managed to win our first BIBBL game!! And have only one loner rostered at the moment while the rest of the players are healthy. So...I guess it wasn't too bad...barring some really idiotic mistakes in the last game...hehe.
The Wardens have started their first season in BIBBL...and the start was hard. A key player died in the first game and the earnings weren't enough to secure an apo...difficult times ahead!
Second game the team held, risking a TD a couple of times...still we lost but suffered no perms and managed to secure the services of a healer...awesome!
Third game saw us tie due to one single wrong move...we could have won...maybe.
Fourth game was a massacre...nearly pitch cleared by stabby hobgoblins.
Fith game was yet another massacre...first block a wild hunter dies, after 3 turns we have 6 out and we used the apo...woah. In a moment of fury we manage to get rid of all the secret weapons and even score with some pure elfball. We then procede to be nearly pitch cleared again thanks to a perfect D and awesome kick...argh!
So we finish the Autumn season of BIBBL's 3rd year with an appalling 0/1/4 record...which we can only improve upon luckily!

Players

The Wardens are spirits that emerge from the forest when the team is needed. Kurnous remembers what happens during the games and asks the same spirits to play each time, so the team keeps all the hard-earned experience.
