DATE: January 26th, 2267

To whoever may intercept this message:

My name is Bill Robson. I am a Science Officer onboard the Federation Starship Enterprise. I have to tell the universe of a terrible fate that has befallen our Captain and Crew.

We were engaged in a routine reconnaissance mission, en-route to Beta Circini in the Delta Quadrant, when Captain Kirk ordered an unscheduled stop at an unexplored planet named Carstein IV. Kirk beamed down with a small away party and it appears that the Captain fell in love with a seductive alien female. I must say I have never known the Captain to engage in such things and it seemed quite out of character. When the party returned to the ship, Kirk brought the female alien with him. However, unbeknownst to the Captain, it transpired that this alien was afflicted with vamprosy - she was a vampire!

Unfortunately for Kirk, he realized this much too late (only after she had sunk her viscous fangs into his neck). She inflicted Kirk with the disease, then the two of them quickly proceeded to attack members of the crew, one by one. Some they turned into vampires and others they brutally tortured and slew. Many of the security officers tried to fight them off, but the vampires were too fast and strong.

Before long, almost the entire crew had been either turned or dispatched. However, myself and a small group were able to reach one of the shuttles and escape from the ship. Now, our fuel has run out and we are drifting aimlessly through interstellar space. I don't know how long our oxygen and supplies can last. Most likely, by the time you read this message, the vampires will have found us and we will all be dead.

Please, heed our warning - these vampires are a threat to the entire galaxy and they must be stopped, before it is too late. They know no mercy and their thirst for blood cannot be satiated. For their victims, there is only an unholy choice: do they want the vampires to have sex with them before they die, or after?
