At the mouth of the Red River, an abundance of boats rise and fall with the tides. These particular boats are called junks and they are used to transport goods, spices and treasures from the mouth of the river to deep within Cathay.

The college stands at the mouth of the river and the Bloodbowl pitch actually overlooks the rambling Red River.

In honour of all the merchants and traders who fund the college, the team is named after the boats they use.
