BIOGRAPHY

During the reign of Emperor Luitpold I, Maximillian von Königswald ruled over Ostland as Elector Count, but at some point was assassinated and replaced by a servant of the Chaos God Tzeentch. The impostor however was discovered some years after during the coronation process of the current Emperor Karl Franz, leading to it's immediate execution, so the title of Elector Count of Ostland passed to Franz's trusted ally Valmir von Raukov.

Though this was celebrated as the first victory of the newly-appointed Emperor, not all the Empire cheered, as the von Königswald familly and its close supporters felt from the heights of nobility into disgrace. Stripped of any title the members of the household found themselves in the streets, where it was no wonder they felt for the lures of the filthiest taverns and cheapest ales, or even worse vices through which they could lament and remember better times.

Of course, it was not long before the family arks were depleted, and its members looking for a way to bring back home some earnings. After a long time of living in poverty where the less dirty of jobs for them was begging in the streets, Herlinde, who had been wife to Elector Count Maximillian, organized the sturdiest of her houshold into a Blood Bowl team, allegedly after Nuffle himslef appeared to her in her hour of need (though other sources claim she had the idea during a moment of drunken stupor).

Thrifty as the true von Königswald family once was, the fan-named Ostland Disgraced are quite a spectacle on the field, most of the players being drunk to some degree at all times, which has led to some truly memorable acts, ranging from puking at the referee's feet to scoring several touch-downs on their own side.

However, if not for their performance on the pitch then because the fan base they've amassed, the Disgraced have risen through the internal Ostland leagues and have been chosen to represent their region on the Imperial Hammerbowl Championship. Now, calling each other by the titles they used to hold as they stumble drunkenly through the field, they are more ready than ever to face the best the Empire can throw at them.
