Flash'd all their chests bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
Rocking the blockers there,
Charging monsters, while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the wizard-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Woodelf and human
Reel'd from the boot stroke
Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they marched back, but not

Cdorks to right of them,
High Elves to left of them,
Amazons behind them

So folks, little time has passed since my previous blog asking for donations/pledges to see if we could stir up PurpleChest enough to bother playing something other than Dwarfs. And at the same time raise some money for FUMBBL.

We got quite some interest indeed, and after a quite carefully crafted introduction and some initial replies we were rewarded with the prospect of a PurpleChest halfling sprint.

But it didn't end there! With more donations we were able to secure a good chunk of PC's playing time into stunty races... PurpleChest hasn't actually backed down from this whatsoever, in fact, I'd guess he's relishing this. Because he's bashed out roughly 1/3rd of the games for his Goblins and Halflings already.

Since that's actually quite a milestone, I'm going to quickly post a summary of where he is, and where we stand with regards to how much is pledged. With any luck, the evidence PC is completely committed to this while spur some more people to pledge - endorsing his effort, or maybe you'd like to pledge based on a condition, or... you can do what Manzoo has done on the last blog and place a bounty on his players

As of right now:

PC's Goblins
Are 8/0/1 and sit on top of the ARR Goblin sprint by a whole 13pts. They sit a mere 5pts off the leaders of the overall stunty sprint and have played 6 games less. At this point in time, PurpleChest is guaranteed to have at least a 50% record over the sprint, and is currently a blackbox goblin legend. That is to say nothing of him currently being on course to trouble even the mighty Cdassak's (our noble impARRator, and the revered "breaker of fumbbl") goblin records!
I may actually have to change the "unbelievARR" badge based on this :o

PC's Flings
Aren't quite so hot. I sure a great many of you are absolutely devastated to know that PurpleChest has merely managed a 1/1/3 record so far with the 'flings. He has already retired a tree due to a niggle, and this is with only 1 dwarf team faced in his first five games. In fact, his struggles are such that his 30% win rate so far is less than half his lowest win rate for his other races. Having actually watched a few of these games, he's been quite horribly unlucky at times, and quite possibly completely robbed during others. Stop sobbing at the back!


I'd also encourage everyone to go read the man himself's thoughts on his games, progress and in general, playing stunty races as he goes.
