I have my own classroom!
I have worked in education for some time now but usually co-teaching, being a tutor or a paraeducator. This is the first time I have my own classroom!

I'm not just sharing this because I'm excited and like to share with my blood bowl playing brethren but also because I put up a Blood Bowl poster and have some block dice around as my small way of trying to get the children into Blood Bowl haha.

Thanks for reading! WOO!

Great, spread Nuffle's Word!

I hope too haha. There's some math in Blood Bowl. Maybe not enough time to make it a real lesson plan but if I manage to get some interest I think it'd be a great club.

If not it will just be fun to have around.

You are a horrible, horrible person, sir. I approve.

what grade / subject are you teaching?

Social skills and targeted academics. It's technically Special Education but mostly focused on kids who just have certain learning deficits and catching them up.

My school has been super supportive and I'm anxious but pumped to start tomorrow haha.

It's a high school so grades 9-12.

A Blood Bowl player teaching social skills -- that in itself is an awesome contradiction!

Maybe you can start a forum thread on the topic...:D

There have certainly been some opponents that could use it haha.
My life goal is to raise the kindest batch of kids possible and then watch their morals be destroyed by Blood Bowl after they graduate.

I run a tabletop wargames club at my school and will be introducing Blood Bowl 7s to them this year, buzzing to get them involved!

bloodbowl works on statistics, management, problem solving, and story telling skills.

Not to mention, social skills.

good call, teacher!

Gratz to you and your class!

Nice. The sort of education kids really need! :)

Good luck on the new Job, Sean!
BB themed maths assignments are possible, but also very google-able. =)

Just saw this comment! Definitely will be working it in where possible. I'm hoping that I can start some sort of tabletop club as well. Gotta get these guys interested first though haha.
