As we from the "Alandor Prophets" exclusively reports our
Crusaders were just about to tie one great match against the Dark Elves
Kor. This
match being the very first match of the "Crusaders" AND their Coach ended 1-1 which underlines the quite defensive plays of both teams.
Under great conditions (the rain just ended with the kick-off) Crusaders Thrower
Thorben Greifhahn kicked the very first Alandorian ball beggining he first half. While being blitzed pretty fast by
Urgas the remaining Crusaders gave their right arm to prevent the touchdown.
Vahandas however managed to score fo the
Kor.
The second half was the half of the
Crusaders, but it took much effort to score that beloved tochdown, because the
Kor managed to defend at least as well as the
Crusaders did in the first half.
"It was hard work to score that important touchdown, because they defended even better than we did, but a few single players seemed to bit a bit unlucky causing a gap in their defence at the end of the game. Of course we blocked their defense well and marked their key players, that´s why we were able to keep the ball till the end. Our players rewarded themselves for their hard work. But I want to add that Coach
Eisenherz did very well with the
Kor. It was a very nice debute match" said the
Crusaders Coach in a post-match-interview.
The
Crusaders should feel happy indeed for nearly losing ball possesion as
"Hurricane" Josh Watson has been blitzed by
Maelfyn. However the
Crusaders were able to recover the lost ball and started their march to the
Kors endzone.
Although the whole team was able to cut a gap into
Kors defense, Blitzer
"Flash" McIlroy was soon THE outstanding guy tearing half the defensive concept apart as he performed 11 blocks and ended
Augiras match with an injury in the first half.
"That guy is just awesome....he was soo important in our defensive concept during the last match..." said Linewoman
Tina Armstrong, but the Coach added: "Well, they stood well together, that´s why it ended 1-1. I´m so proud, our Linemen and our Blitzers performed that well today....And we shouldn´t forget
Eddie Callahans rush for the touchdown..."
Eddie;, who scored the
Crusaders very first touchdown seemed unable to stop celebrating: "Whooohoooo!!! What an awesome moment!! I´ll never forget this....I´m so proud of us! We tied the match...aaawesome!!!"
With that match the citizens of Alandor can hopefully look forward for the
Crusaders next match. If they will keep up their momentum, it´s just a matter of time until the
Crusaders will win their first match. Local Blood Bowl fans expect that moment very soon....
