lizis got nice models from gw

darkelfes nice models too

woodelfs if you get a treemen you can use it for flings too =D

for 30 you can pick up the "teams" they think you should (ie odd ammounts of positionals)
saying that, i know your love of lizzies and 30 gets you 4 saurus and 8 skinks, personally i dont like the figures BUT that parts up to u

IF you went woodies, id buy you a treeman for xmas for being such a legend :)

I have 1 troll and 1 tree (which is why I put minus 1 etc) so Wood Elf team would be a nice idea. My son has Lizardman team which he gave me for my Birthday (he was a but strapped, like everyone else, but I know he likes his lizard team) He will be getting them back at Christmas as my present to him (Mum sorts out the REAL pressies!).

As for DE, I was looking at some of the 40k Dark Eldar figures as some conversions have been posted on some of the sites I have browsed.

i think you definitely need another tree so you can do a passing tree halfling team on TT.

btw..........if you send the figs to me with roughly a half a bottle of tequila, a blindfold and the paints and brushes, i'll paint the figures for you for free. :D

I think you should tidy up the teams you already have (i.e. buy the missing players). In the long run you'll find them more fun to use.

Dungeonbowl figures are fine I think, depending what version of dwarfs/elves you have, they could be a bit on the big side.

@HM yeah I would like to fill in the gaps for the teams but I really want to make some rather than buy them already done.

@Reisender, I know how much he likes them(Lizzies) and the effort he put into painting them. If he hadnt had bought them I wouldnt have played them in Faction and we all know where that ended up ;) (resists posting link to Krox legend!)

I have Mordhiem so may be able to make something from them. Also have an old Heroquest expansion that has 7 ogres in it they may be based and used too :) was thinking about getting some Gnoblar to use as snotlings?

I did like the Sage and used the Dark Eldar Wyches + Dark Elf bodies for my Dark Elves. Pick up the Wyches, it will fire off you imagination and can be used as a foundation for almost any elf team with a few different body swaps (glade guard for WE, HE for um HE.) Its a great plastic set.

@Flashover cheers mate, I looked over the 2 sets of DE in the shop yesterday. A guy offered to buy a gun from me for a few pounds as they only have 1 in each set and can upgrade the unit in 40k.... I have no idea but if I can re-coup some money all the better :)

So as the big day approaches I eagerly anticipate the opening the envelope.... (Hope they don't change their minds and buy me a jumper!!!)

I am currently painting my old second edition Elves to use as a Pro Elf team and I am constantly distracted by the desire to convert a Bull Centaur.. but I cant find Boars on GW without having to buy the riders too or very expensive individual hero/lord models. Once I have the boar what do I use for the body? do I hope to receive enough vouchers for 2 CD teams thereby getting 8 CD blockers allowing me to use 3 of them....

So Christmas came and so did my Vouchers.... £30 from the In-Laws and £20 from Squigkey (my lad).

First purchase was a set of Dark Eldar Wychers and a set of Kabalite Warriors, should make a decent Dark Elf team out of them :)

Secondly I could not resist buying the Warhammer Fantasy Battle Chaos Marauders at £20 they are great figures and may be getting some more to do a Norse team at some point.... (read next Chrimbo!)

Thanks for your input, I will be seriously be thinking about butchering a collectors item to make a WElf team as I have had in my shed the Regiment of Renown that is Skarloc's Wood Elf Archers but whether that is too much of a sacrilege :)
