That's not so bad in the Box, if you've never played elves before. They take a bit of getting used to & they're very different to bash teams. I've played quite a lot of High/Pro - thing is, you really need to get them to at least 1700 TV before you can really make 'em dance (especially High Elves).

I find pro elves are quite efficient at low tv. Gotta skill those blitzers tho! They're your defence early on.

The problem is, when you reach 1700 TV, you are facing tacklepomb and/or clawpomb almost every game.
Tackle makes Dodge, one of your greatest assets, useless and, after some games at high TV the elves will be pushed back to mid TV.

Not my experience.

Yeah, it can be tough in the Box, although even there, I wouldn't say you'll face TacklePOMB every game at high TV.
Btw, that symbol in your Woodies team name - you claim it is a flower, to me it looks like something else! :P

First few games are key with Elves. If you get a bad start it's often better to start over. Don't replace Linemen early on, focus on getting apoth / reroll / positionals. If you can manage some games with decent winnings and not losing any positionals, and get some Blodgers, you get rolling. I don't think you need to get to 1700, around 1300 you can already have a decent team going.

P.S.: Looking at your teams, rerolls are your problem! Start with 2 rerolls on Woodies and Darkies, and buy the 3rd one as soon as you can. Start with 3 rerolls on High Elves and Pro Elves.

I got board after 24 games of the four races. I may just pick that up again.

So if I get more rerolls I win more?
My pro elves are proving to be a big pain in the ass. I just can't get to the ball and end up in a 1-1 tie each game. They just are not resilient enough to hold off a good down field push. Same with my helves though. I have good defense but not excellent defense - I play it safe and wait for the opponent to make an error... they never do. lol

Instead of waiting for the error, you can do crazy stuff yourself - but you need the rerolls for that. When I loose from Elves or Skavens, it's often (to my feeling at least...) because they dodge through five tackle zones, succeed on a -2d block, and get away with the ball. In fact, you have to play like that, else you don't make use of the expensive AG4 and dodge access. I must confess I'm also bad at it myself (too much risk-avoiding play) but I try to be more risky with elves. Just try it out I would say!

Well, defence is rhe hard part with pro elves. They can do a decent passive defence if they have the numbers, otherwise they have to resort to crazy stuff. With their low av they can't really storm cages like dark or high and they don't have wardancers. This is where your blitzers come in, with early blodgestep and then diving tackle they're your difensive masters. Mark a cage corner or preferably the ballcarrier to slow the opposition, draw a blitz or cause a turnover and ball popping.
So skill them! They're the most important players early on. And get a leap wrestle strip ball catcher asap! He's the key to pro elf madness!

Last comment was the key... you must be a little *mad* to play Pro Elves in the box ;)
