BB Fundraiser for Unicef in 2021
Hi!
I’m putting together a charity event that’s going to run throughout 2021, and it’d be great to get as many blood bowlers from around the world involved as possible.
It’s called, ‘Chase The Majors’, and the idea is that collectively we can cover the mileage between the 5 NAF Majors by running/walking/cycling.
And we’ll be doing to raise funds for Unicef to help them continue to do their great work.
There’s more details to follow very soon, but please do get involved. There’ll be some opportunities to get a badge, or maybe a prize too (more on that later)

What’s the aim?
Over the course of 2021, we hope to get Blood Bowlers from around the world to get moving, and to cover the mileage between the 5 NAF Major tournaments (25,711 km/15,977 miles - as the crow flies), whilst raising money for Unicef.
How do I get involved?

This site automatically links with your Strava activity, and you can manually link activities from Facebook.
***It costs $1 per participant, so if you need to send $1 to waterbowl@hotmail.co.uk (using the friends & family option) as I’ll need to pay the site (I’ve already paid for a few spots) then register using the link above.***If anyone wants to pay an extra dollar in case anyone can’t afford to participate then just let me know. If we end up with any extra money, it’ll all go to Unicef.
You can participate by logging:
- runs/virtual runs
- walks & hikes
- handcycling
- wheelchair exercise
- cycling/virtual cycling
- swimming.
Please post in the comments below if you’re joining us, what mileage you’re pledging, and let me know that you’ve sent the PayPal payment too.
Is there a minimum commitment? No, not all. Whether you’re an ultra-marathon runner, or someone who likes to walk the dog, all mileage is welcome, and very much appreciated. If you’re not up to exercise, but can spread the word/donate some money, that would be amazing too.
How do I stay up-to-date with what is going on/how do I find people to join up with?
