Welcome to the site! Chaos are probably the strongest race once developed, but it is a difficult road to get there.
You might want to consider starting with the more newbie friendly teams like dwarfs, norse, amazons, orcs and humans.

Welcome on board!

Welcome.
There is a steep learning curve here. Much stiffer competition than on table top.
Once you get a few hundred games in, you will play all races like a champ.
Don't worry. Just keep playing & watching games. You will learn in good time.

Welcome! and gratz on drawing your second game :)
Team wise i'd definitely try Orc's (or humans as a good 2nd choice) for a few matches, they're pretty forgiving and can do a bit of everything.

Welcome! Srtaight into the Black Box division, eh? The dwarf roster is very solid there. A nice draw is a pretty typical outcome too. Well done. You won't be doing anything really fancy with dwarfs, or coming back from behind all that often, but you'll be learning good FUMBBL and good Blood Bowl while you grind away in close games with the grumpy fellows. Have fun!

Welcome!
Chaos can become vicious but there are definitely more entertaining options around, and some that are better at low levels.

Welome! I'd make [R] dark elves.
Also, check out the 145 league, especially for newer coaches:

Welcome there. I would suggest you rip understands how the leagues work here, it's quite a fun environment for your possible L (league) teams.
see ya around!

Peace. Maybe suggest starting with Orc and Human. While they are not the best two races, you will learn about the difference of ST2, ST3 and ST4, the value of speed, and what skill re-rolls will do for you. Also check out the 145 league.

Eeek, missed the fact that you're playing in the Black Box, i'd seriously consider playing in Ranked first.
Black Box is tough, and finding an open League that fits in with you can be a bit of a pain, in Ranked you can pick when and who you play against, which is ideal to start.

Btw, playing with only a single reroll is highway to suicide! Make sure you play with at least 2, even three RR's especially when you are starting up.
Btw, big guys (like the death roller) isn't a good option to win games at an early stage, but it's sure quite fun!
welcome!

Whoa, didn't expect such a response from everyone. THANKS! I feel very welcome, and I do appreciate all the advice. I started in Black Box as the beginner league said "under construction". Looking into the 145 club now thanks for that link!
