I had this last night, updated java to version 25 and it started working fine.

It's to do with the security settings, particularly if you have an outdated version of java. If you can't update or don't want to straight away (for any bizarre reason), you can change the security settings to medium instead of high. This will then cease to auto-block applications like you see here (it will instead ask you whether you want to run application, yadda yadda).
However, I'd like to stress this is suboptimal and obviously not a good solution in the long run. Just throwing it out there in case there's a reason in the future you need to use a java application super urgently (though updating hardly takes any extra time).
