With their phenomenal placement in the CIBBL Youngbloods tournament (if we ignore
those rats), the
Beasts of Crimson Keep were due to be invited to a prestigious tournament. Competing in the Gold division after only 3 games was going to be a historic achievement. But woe betide, the courier pigeon must have been eaten, and by the time commission JDM assures me that he received our RSVP, there was only space left in Mud. I suspect one of the strigoi from
Corpse Run Nightmares. Eating pigeons is the sort of thing they do. Well if we have to play in Mud, we might as well make the most of it...
Game 1 vs
Crookback Mountain Ragers
Going into the second half tied at 1-1, the BoCK were afraid of the Ag 4 goblin and were stalling BIG TIME. By turn 7 the bottom corner of the pitch was very populated and the Ragers have an opportunity to land a Xmas GIF spot if they can play ten pin bowling with a thrown goblin.
A nice try with the backup sneaky blitz but not enough to save the day.

Game 7
The final game, BoCK needing a draw to finish 2nd overall. Here's turn one.
It didn't get better for the Infernos as they impressively managed to double skull every single critical block.
Award Ceremony*
Best Team in Mud (that aren't elves): BoCK (4-2-1)
Clutch plays and star players. What more can be said? Well deserved**.
Blocking Scorer:
A monster on and off the pitch. 3 TD and 5 CAS in 7 games surely has been enough to establish his dominance of this fine game.
Winter is coming, which means for some friendly fixtures and a chance to get some much needed skills before facing off against some very developed vampire teams in the regionals.
*Not the official CIBBL awards. These are just the awards that I'm choosing to give myself.
**Actually the last 4 games all rode the winds of pure luck.
