Let me add some information here, and another call to action to help Rene. Based on your, fellow FUMBBLers', earlier comments on how you hold Rene in the highest regard as a person, I reached out and offered a loan. (I also donated but it seemed quite obvious that the donations would not be enough.) In this very dire situation I know Rene would appreciate not just donations but loans as well. We agreed to make mine interest free and pay whenever and whatever possible, but I know he is open to anything. I am more than happy to provide you with more details, just PM me.

I cant give out a loan, but still I can do a donation as soon as I get to a computer.
Anyhow, in rl I am a HR Manager, if you want I can go over your CV and give you feedback. Probably it can give you an edge for getting interviews. Of course it will be middle european standards but it cant hurt to have a look.

Concretely, when is the deadline?
I would say best wishes and all but... I know wishes ain't enough under those circumstances.

I'll donate within the day.
I'd rather donate money to a community member in need, than to a Society that uses part of the funds for administration. I think helping someone like this is more than worthy, and Pent is someone desperately trying to stay off the streets. Most similar donations are more about helping people make it through living on the streets. My donation is going to measly 2hrs of pay (after its converted to American dollars.) If you think about it from that perspective it's not much of expenditure. I hope more people can consider a similar donation and help this guy out.
Pent, don't worry about your internet. It's a cost you can afford to be without. I sincerly give you best wishes..

Eusebio: I will send you a copy of my resume and letters of recommendation tomorow.
PaddyMick: It varies by the state and local community, and bluntly, who runs things. In my state (Louisiana)parish (Louisiana equivalent of a county, Jefferson)and current city (Kenner, a town over from New Orleans), very little. If I could get back into New Orleans itself, it would e better, but that is not an option at the moment.
Kam: The deadline. It depends on how many partial payments I can make. The fist deadline is Friday evening, which I will not be able to get to my 401k by then. After that, it depends on how many partial payments I can make to keep the landlord and property manager happy.
Very tired for the moment, and going to get ready for bed, sorry. The kitchen where I work just had a porter quit, so the good news is that I've been able to take some of his shifts, however, porter is probably one of the most physically draining jobs in a kitchen so I'm a bit worn out. (I've got two more porter shifts, tomorrow and the day after, then two days of job hunting, then a shift in the fresh pack department, then three regular kitchen shifts . . . not sure after that, but I've been doubling up in the bakery and have told meat (where they might be having a butcher's apprentice position opening) grocery, whole body, and seafood that I am looking to pick up shifts in any department. . .specialty, marketing, and floral don't have any extra shifts at the moment)
So I'm giving it my all.

Back from another interview and a follow-up. Have been able to make a partial payment to the landlord and property manager to extend the time, though still not out of the woods yet.
Going to do the online portion of the job hunt some more today, going to try to get some games in while I do so.
Again, y'all, I am extremely grateful for everything.
