"Are you experienced?"
After 298 days on fumbbl I finally managed to play 150 games! I'm a newb compared to the fumbblers with 1000+ games played but here's my experience on joining up and playing my first few games:

I’ve known BB to exist on the ‘net for several years but it was only after perusing the Warseer forums that I decided to join the warseer league and get some BB action going. My first few games were in the [R]anked division and boy did I do badly. My CR got mauled and I was at 20% wins after 50 odd games. At this time I started playing
actions. [F] was to me the ultimate in gaming. It took the boredom out of one-off games and put continuity to the games. My DE’s Shylock Redemption took silver after 7 rounds in [F], after which I decided to give factions up. For some reason I was always annoyed with the type of players that were drawn to [R] and [F]. Don’t get me wrong there’s been some nice ppl that I’ve played but generally ppl seemed to shun fouling, DP, bashy teams and whatever else and always looked for the easy win. I was once even offered money to play a game of [F] (see my bio)!!! I just never took to [R] and [F] proved too much of a hassle and time-drain to give anything back. That’s when I started to play [L]eague earnestly.

[L]eague is perfect, it’s the B in Blood Bowl, it’s better than sliced bread with peanut-butter on top! [L] is where you play your TR100 humans against a TR200+ Dwarf team and manage a win or get totally slaughtered but still enjoy the game and challenge of it. You don’t get your recovery games whenever things go sour, you have to stick with it! In many ways it is harder than [R] because you have to meet all types of teams, not just the ones you have the luxury of choosing. Through [L] I came into contact with Stunty Leeg. Was abit sceptical at first but gave it a go. I didn’t regret it. It can be very unbalanced and whacky, just as it should be! Never laughed so much when playing BB as I do with stunty. It’s seriously funny getting your team mauled by secret weapons as it is when your big guys deal out the 3d-pain with MB+Block+Tackle. Shame I didn’t try it sooner.

The future holds promise as I’ll be playing lot more [L] and Stunty games. Hopefully LRB5 will arrive on fumbbl (play it mostly on table-top anyway), and despite the rules being different from LRB4 they are very enjoyable *Keep fingers crossed*.
