BB Ogre Log *** Part 3 ***
Was a while ago I updated this log so here's the latest: Ogres are ready to paint and this is what I did!

Last time I finished the belly area and now it was time to do the rest: shoulderpads and extras. Well to start off I did some arm-repositioning on three of the ogres: One with arms resting on his hips, another with a throwing pose and a third was converted to make him look as if in midstride. All of this left som ugly areas on the models and lead to extensive remodelling of the back muscles and partly chest muscle (or man breasts as they seem to have!). I then proceeded to sculpt some shoulder guards for all ogres, basically just forming two flat areas on both shoulders.

All 6 Ogres ready for painting. Not too happy about the shoulder guards but they serve their purpose...

For one of the ogres I modelled some chainmail to make him look abit harder like a blitzer type. I added a helmet with face guard too just to emphasize how bad he is and also converted two left handed armoured mitts to make a left and right handed pair. This model was my first go at making chainmail and at first I was at a loss as to how to do it. But after trying for a while I came up with a suitable technique that looks pretty decent.

Some pics to show back muscle sculpting, chainmail and snot getting chucked by the bandana wearing Ogre!

Now that all the ogres are prepped for painting I'll have to decide on a colour scheme. I'm thinking of painting the pants white with blue stripes on and the armour blue (per GW 'eavy metal paintjob on the official models). I'm not usually one for imitating GWcolour schemes but in this case I thought the colours would suit the big guys. Also in the works are 10 the snotlings needed to fill up the squad. I decided to re-use 8 snotlings I had done 8+ years ago for BB and give them a new paintjob, only leaving 2 snots to be done from ground up. Pics on these in the next update!
