Back where I thought I was when I started?
When I started at Fumbbl, I think I had played a couple hundred games on the tabletop. All of those games were using the core set plus Deathzone. I had read about LRB4 on Talkbloodbowl.com and I think I either watched a game or played one. I thought I was a pretty bad-assed MoFo on the Blood Bowl pitch. I won almost all of my games and figured I would dominate here as well.

Ounimshu gave ne my first big dose of reality. I think it was in my first couple weeks or maybe the first week. I don't remember what I was running, but he ran circles around me with freakin' Chaos dwarves. Every move was perfect, resulting in maximized blocks of course, but also resulting in board control in a more subtle way. I think the game may have been close, but never felt close. His turns lasted 40 seconds or a little more to boot! I played two styles: Bash the shit outta you or Run Gutter runners into your backfield and try to knock the ball loose and score fast. Those styles work to a point, but the higher level of BB was not something I was able to grasp.

So, here I am, 400 ish games later and I finally think I am starting to get it. I am learning something pretty much every game and also now see the board in a different way and my recent win/loss ratio is showing it. I'd like to thank you all for the dose of humility, the friendship and for helping me to learn more about Blood Bowl in particular and wargaming in general. This is a great thing we have here and I've learned a lot.
