Oops!
Yesterday, I played my fumbbl tour tr150 match against my excellent opponent Odi. He made some good pre-match moves and played well. I had a bit of poor luck near the end and was defeated when Odi scored on turn 5 or 6 of OT. I explained to him that we each needed to click to end our turns since it was sudden-death. He said that he thought we played it out, and I said that I had done the sudden-death thing before and that's how it was explained to me.

After we were done clicking through the last few turns, Bantha irc'd me and told me that fumbbl tour was different. I was a bit shocked. I just want anyone who was watching or who may be Odi's next opponent to know that I do not know him and that I did not intentionally skip my last three turns with the idea of doing him a favor. I really thought it was over. Thanks to my opponent for a good game and to Bantha for letting me know about the non-sudden death thing. Sorry Fumbblers!

Yeah, different tournaments have different ways how they handle OT, so be sure to check the tournament rules before starting one. Live & learn!

Next time please be sure to read the Official Tournament Rules. The can be found at:
http://fumbbl.com/help:Official+FUMBBL+Tournament+Rules

There the third item states:
"If the score is tied at the end of regular play time in a Knockout style tournament overtime will be played. Overtime is a full 8 more turns with a random team kicking. If the score is still tied after overtime the site will randomly determine the winner."

So for the future, in every ranked KO tourney it`s a full overtime - no sudden death.
