I find it incredibly funny that ever since the PC was announced.... there have been many people up in arms about it and how it destroys ranked.

Well, here are two points about this.

#1) It only affects new(ish) teams. Had this been the case of TR 175 teams, then its a different story. A team could build up to the 175 mark and simply play soft matches until the FC.

#2) It is about as destructive as to ranked as what elfballers do. Here is the part that gets me.... playing a match with no cas is what the high TR elven teams do. Check out the recent LC elven teams. There was at least one elf team who never even faced an Orc team until the main tourney (thank god he lost). Yes, casualties are possible in elfball games. They just tend not to happen often enough because a coach who only plays elves has a lot of options in terms of picking their opponent's bashing power. "I don't want to play your 2 DP elven team." Easy to say when there's always another elven team looking for the cheap spps...
