The match started with a pitch invasion whilst the Orcs were still drunk from 'warm-up' (I didn't realise they could get up!)... the outnumbered Orcs formed a cage but it was soon breached by wood elf blitzers.
TD Elves; 1-0.
Later on in the half my more aggressive Orcs starting shoving the elves around but a poorly timed dodge attempt (& failed re-roll) resulted in a turnover leaving the wood elf blitzers free to attack my ball carrier who was at that point only protected by half a cage. Result elf blitz, recovery & TD!
The dying seconds of the first half didn't mean much even with all the aggressive Orc blocking.
Second half started with a great Orc kick deep into the elvish zone... they soon recovered & formed a cage mid pitch. Poor play by me coupled with the fearsome evil wood elf blitzers allowed the elves to seemingly gain an upper hand during this mid table battle of attrition! Their catchers soon broke free & the elves scored with an easy TD. 3-0
Orc turnovers caused by poor dodging (I'm failing to 'spot' the tackle zone half the time) proved again costly.
Straight after the kick off an amazing 'go for it' elf blitz smashed into my ball carrier... another turnover prevented my Orc line from smashing the outnumbered elven line before they scored the TD. 4-0
The next drive began with another Orcish turnover (for fumbling) the elven recovery was boxed in somewhat... however it was but an illusion another easy TD resulted. The Elven blitzers are just killing me, 5-0!
The match ended shortly thereafter... I thank Vasilla for being such a great sport, shame I couldn't reward him with a decent game.
One day I will be a veteran.
