The game began terribly for me; the Mummy's on the LOS immediately started knocking me about, a bad kick of mine went for a throwback straight to a ghoul who then breezed through my defence like it wasn't there for a TD.
My own drive was then shattered by a blitzing ghoul sacking my ball carrier, a desperate attempted TD saving blitz out of an enemy tackle zone failed to cause naught but a turnover for me... TD Undead.
The turn nearly ended with a third Undead TD... the ghouls & Wights were proving difficult to contain, and whilst the Mummy's were certainly dangerous that's kinda what I expected.
The second half began with a series of crunching battles, a determined Undead blitz & then an amazingly scabby throw to my black ORC!
However it all went wrong when a ghoul then seriously injured my Black Orc (with block!) on a 1db block.
The ghoul then retrieved the ball & an Undead cage was formed.
Ghouls soon took the ball away for a TD but not before I got seriously chewed up in LOS battles. My desperate attempts to 'get' an isolated mummy also backfired.
I was down to 7 players for the final drive... they got surrounded, trashed by ghouls & the ball was taken in for a last second TD
A thoroughly demoralizing 4-0 defeat which for the second game in a row saw me both getting physically chewed up & outmanoeuvred.
As for my progression to eventual Veteran player my opponent, French Tart, seemed to suggest that I actually made relatively few errors (mostly set-up mistakes during the initial drives) but suffered with the dice... I'm not so sure about that.
