Six Month FUMBBL Anniversary!!
I have been on FUMBBL now for 6 months and I have FINALLY started winning a couple of games!
I had played tabletop BB for years (second and third ed.) but dropped out of it until a while ago when a "commercial" version renewed my interest and love of the game - which is odd considering how broken that version is - and even got me back into playing the occasional tabletop game.
That said, I had not considered myself great coach but certainly not a BAD coach. I won and drew matches a bit more than I lost. I could use limited skills here on FUMBBL and do OK.
Wrong.
I got schooled. Big time.
Stuck with it though (had to retire a few teams), focused on the team I knew best (humans) and a couple I always wanted to play but didn't have minis for. (I won't play with "counts-as" or "stand-in" minis - I worship Nuffle, not Proxy, God of Substitutions)
A while ago I got a tie. Almost brought the house down with my screams.
Then a couple of wins! OMFG!! I sounded like a happy version of that Angry German Kid!
I would like to thank the bastards who CLAWBOMBed me, fouled me, crowd-surfed me and made my little pixels die: you have all taught me valuable lessons.
I would also like to thank nice guys who have given me really fun, enjoyable matches even when I have been getting my ass kicked or everything has gone wrong (for either side) and gone out of your way to help: you have taught me that it is a game and we are here to have fun.
I am having so much fun here and I do foresee myself being on FUMBBL for awhile.

Astrosimian.

nice to hear you're enjoying it! i think the level of play is exceptionally high here now, whereas a few years ago i was an easily winning coach with little effort or practise. Now it's like everyone is a lot better, even the bad players are much better than me... the game has evolved to the next level!

pity that "level" is crp point and click most of the time.....

@hale

People have not got better the CRP has designed so it point and click CAS a player repeat then win the game because hardly any players to play against.

Its not just Blood Bowl thats gone this route even bad first person shooters have gone easy mode for example CoD.

Glad your enjoying it im also loving it here i may have my out bursts at my players which some times my opponents think im yelling at them but its all good fun :)

but bit... Tims is NOT good coffee. It's cheap coffee, yes, and it comes with TimBits, but come on, you are now in Melbourne, no? Flat whites, and other antipodean goodness....

KhornedBeef:
Danke schoen, mein freund!

Pythrr:
To quote Dennis Leary, "Did I miss a f#*king meeting with the coffee? You can get every other flavor except COFFEE FLAVORED COFFEE! They got mochaccino, they've got chococcino, frapaccino, capaccino, rapaccino, Al Pacino, WHAT THE F#*K!"
Antipodean flat white goodness my ass!

BTW, I hope to heck my last comment to Pythrr did come across as funny, not insane or violent!
