Can see you've got the flings/gobs/ogres up and running.
I'd also recommend a 13 hobgoblin and one bull centaur chorf team. Give the bull centaur hail mary pass if you get a double...

All linemen rosters can be challenging and fun, and like supporting a lower league team each win or draw feels like a real achievement.
Team themes, or self set rules on how the team can develop also add a new dimension.
Make some teams where win win win isn't the goal. Maybe try to get a legend rotter, or the greatest snot of all time or something equally different.
If in doubt though, go with flings or gobbos. They shouldn't win much really, but the crazy plays feel amazing when they work.

@ad im a stunty fan i took ogres to WC III i sucked but that was actually down to bonehead (i recorded them all and it would scare you over 9 games)
@aka the mj build was one of those and as FACT
The DIBBL(Deserted Isles BloodBowl League) was started by me and a mate (taketheskull) being drunk and new to FUMBBL wanting 2 games in a row against each other starting a league and using MJTHRILLER (1 wolf all zombies) builds we are now a burgeoning league (far from european or american sized but big for nz :D)

I enjoy my 'wrestle jumpup' high elves, and my 'no mb, no claw, no po, no dp' chaos. Think you're looking for more BS than that, though.
Posted by bigbullies on 2015-12-10 11:04:41
also AD should that be run in box...
Posted by bigbullies on 2015-12-10 11:06:12
@sage i have a ranked only mutations +stats chaos team going who got ruined in the first few teams but i refuse to quit on so yep more BS than that :D
Posted by akaRenton on 2015-12-10 11:18:06
How about khemri where only the TG's are allowed to score? :D

Or go for an E.L.F. cycle:
https://fumbbl.com/p/group&group=2079&op=view
If you want to make it particularly challenging you could try a:
Synnful Sprint: The challenge is to take a new TR100 team and refuse all matches vs. other elves for the first 20 games. After that time, the sprinter is free to play other elves.
or a:
Dalfort Dash: Try and play all 24 races during the course of an E.L.F. season.
Or make a Badge hunters team (Pact lends itself for that) and go for the less likely ones like Leap blizting with a Big Guy for a cas or having 5 players with shadowing.

Big Guys, Little Balls. Get yourself a scoring roaring minotaur!

Run it wherever you want. I've thought of running it myself in Box. It's a build that came about because for some reason I always think of Dan Marino when I see Bull plodding about the backfield wasting time before moving up the pitch in the last few turns.
Posted by bghandras on 2015-12-10 12:01:49
Norse with a Mino lead is both hilarious, and also semi-competitive.
Posted by howlinggriffon on 2015-12-10 12:58:43
Chaos with just Minotaur and Beastmen is quite fun. I also enjoyed playing Halflings in a league where my first inducement was always Puggy.

Bullies. I made this random mutation chaos team you could try out. They're not playing a bunch of friendlies in Ranked though, but test their brawns (and lack of brains) against the Box minions. https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=803026 PS: Ned Kelly was a hipster. Even made his own artisanal armours. PPS: Just went through a 30 game stint only mustering 7 wins btw.

Get a grip, BigBullies, what you expected to join FUMBBL and start wrecking like you was Hulk or one of the Agents of SMASH! Foolish and blaming the RNG wont help, if you want to win more then you need to improve your game and stop throwing uphill three dice blocks. Either that or join the Stunty Leg. Playing with a lineman team or silly roster isn't going to help anyone other than feeding the sharks. If you can't win with a proper team then how do you expect to win with one of these?
A little harsh?
:D

Play Chaos or Nurgle and take nothing but CLAWPOMB and focus solely on killing your opponent. Just ignore the ball completely and only attempt to injure and eliminate the person you are winning. The scoreboard becomes the CAS count, not the number of TDs. Its a very fun way to play especially if you can induce a rage quit or generally whining temper tantrum!! hahaha

↑↑↑ aka the pathetic approach :)
Posted by frogboy on 2015-12-10 16:27:18
Just watched your last game, Lizards vs Ogres, you could have won that game 2-1. You made a few mistakes, got a skink BH in the first turn dodging into your Ogres half, Why? Where was it going by its self?
Also passing with skinks is a bad idea, Passing in Bloodbowl altogether is a risk. Ok so the turn 8 one was understandable but what was you doing in the second half passing to that saurus? He was in three tackle zones?? You could have held onto to the ball and scored from there instead winning 2-1.
Get the basics right, even I can see that. Then you will start winning more. Hopefully help but if not I do have a bucket of water here and am prepared for a fire lol
:D

I've never really understood the 'I'll just play a crap roster so losing doesn't bother me' mentality to be honest.
I would suggest not doing that, or playing Stunty where every roster is crap anyway, and it seems to be so chaotic that you can't do anything other than laugh with your opponent over the dice both of you are rolling.
My advice then is to play min/maxed zons. You'll still get the odd game where AV7 just doesn't hold and your team gets blown off the pitch, but you'll also get the games where your opponent cannot roll any POWs and you'll take care of business.
But, at least with zons, you can't be super crazy like you can with elfs, so you actually need to work on positioning and dealing with a 'slow' roster (any roster that doesn't go over MA6 is slow to me). Might improve your overall play and then not take it so hard when the RNG does take you down.

Play stunty.
Also, you need only 14 snots. You can then hire Farth and Grotty.
Posted by pythrr on 2015-12-10 18:23:56
roll fewer 1s

worked for me. I needed to get back to where I started with BB, which was TT & laughing at the goofy plays that can happen - I didn't think much about the odds, it was just fun. For me, it was playing an all-rotter team & going in expecting to lose but enjoying the match anyhow & occasionally creating some great plays.

I just started this team, so far very fun:

Amazons who only play vs dorfs xd

Here is what I think, and I believe I am right. However you may not listen.
You will never get that feeling you had for Blood Bowl back, basically being able to play online you have over saturated your need.
This doesn't mean it's the end of the road however. My suggestion is to play solo. Think of something interesting to do with playing solo. Using other peoples teams, run a small competition, play with a certain goal....
Then when you feel up to it or super motivated play FUMBBL. Otherwise that feeling will just get worse and worse.

Where's your fluff? Fluffy teams are much more fun - think Agility Monsters!

Or players with longevity! Carpal! Foul more! All dp undead/khemri! Kill all menz!

That thing where one tries rubbish stuff because one's brain is trying to confirm the expectations of having bad results, is, well, I've been there, it's a pretty empty moment.
What I've worked on with my goblins (and other teams, but man, goblins) is enjoying the stuff that works, so that I think about what works. They don't win many, mostly whatever I do falls apart, so when anything goes right, I obsess about it a bit. Put up match reports and tell everyone in chat how bloody good it feels.
Yesterday I won a game against Dwarves with Goblins, and then against Norse with Goblins. Not just won, 2-0 and 3-0, owned them. Totally ludicrous dice and incredible luck, but I don't care, I beat two block teams with Goblins in one day.
Because I tried really hard to win, to get everything right, give myself the best chances, and this time it worked despite my little mistakes here and there, and despite Goblins being really terrible against block teams.
I reckon, play whatever will let you win more by doing what you enjoy doing. Then consciously try to get it right, ignore your mistakes, and enjoy when it works. If you enjoy the idea of aggressively dodging through, passing into TZs, that's Pro Elf all the way.
--
But as you asked, and I did try to listen as well, the worst builds are anything at all you do with Halflings. The Leaping Dwarfs or Leaping Mino teams are still much better than optimal Halfling teams, unless you roll up a tremendous stat-freak of a fling (6346 block is nice), and even then.

To make it clear now im more sober
I dont want to win more im happy winning enough that i enjoy when it happens
What i want is to improve my game so for example my mjthriller build forces me to think about positioning of my players and thinking ahead to respond to where my opponent should go and where he actually goes
thanks everyone for their inputs as i now have advice i can come back to and ideas i can roll with

My team when I was in your frame of mind... if I was going to get so many killed I thought I may as well have a reason for them to be killed, and Rotters die so easily :p
Steal the idea or splinter it, I pinched evolution idea from somewhere else so the cycle continues. As said above sometimes Fluff helps remind this is a game and that enjoyment can be found in other ways than the standard minimal risk/ClPOMB rinse and repeat methods that so many sheep seem to enjoy... or you could try and out do my Intercepting Treemen? currently on 10 and 8 but the 8 guy has 31 passes (usually to the other Tree!).
Enjoy! Take care Dalfort.

Cheers dalfort its certainly something to consider
And clawpomb = snore
