Blodgers are always helpful(block and dodge)
Sidestep is a good secondary skill
Mighty Blow, Piling On, and Frenzy are good on blitzers if available(doubles)
Wrestling is good on linemen.
If you get a +AG(AG 5) Pass Block is nice.

2 dodge on blitzers. Catchers 2 wrestle 2 dodge, leader on thrower if you have one. Then 2 teamm rr are enough and u can buy an apo

2 dodge on blitzers, 1 wrestle on catcher, 1 dodge on catcher, then 2 block and 1 kick on linos.
2 blitzers, 2 catchers, 8 linos, 3 rr and 1 fan factor.
or
2 blitzers, 2 catchers, 7 linos, 3 rr, apo, 3 fan factor.
You'd get 3 dodgers which is ok, four Block and 1 Wrestle for threatening ball carriers. The high elf thrower is pretty expensive and taking a thrower for Leader is not good value.

Just distribute 7 skills among block and dodge and wrestle. The problem is that other rosters will be much better. Many of the powerhouse rosters (amazon, norse, undead) can get a pomber. Undead with a pomber wight and 3 blodge ghouls as one example.

2 blitzers, 2 catchers, 1 thrower, 6 linemen, 3 rr, 1 apo, 1 fan factor
4 dodge : 2 blitzers, thrower and a catcher
1 wrestle on the other catcher
2 blocks on linemen
Make the thrower your main ball carrier and protect him in a cage, he will be able to pass, ideally to the catcher with dodge, if that becomes necessary.
on defence, try to protect your catchers, and dont let your opponent get too many blocks. In other words, play them as they were woodies ;)

Giving one blitzer frenzy is an other option - then you have surfing potential and the synergy with sidestep is nice.

@Endzone Except sidestep is a pro elf blitzer comp :)

2x Blitzer (200K)
3x Catcher (270K)
1x Thrower (90K)
5x Lineman (350K)
2x Reroll (100K)
1x Apothercary (50K)
40k left
Can either upgrade 1 lineman to a catcher... and take 1 Chearleader + 1 Ass. Coach
Or you can go for 2 Ass Coach + 2 Cheerleaders.
I love catchers (even tough I don't like High Elves)... But I rather have 2 coaches + 2 cheerleaders... Making sure you win a RR on a 6 or 8 on the kick off result. Not giving it away to your opponent.
Can you stack skills? ...
5 skills I believe I would take right away:
2x Dodge on Blitzer
1x Leader on Thrower
2x Dodge on Catcher
I would probably take 1x Wrestle on lineman, 1x Wrestle on catcher.
But again... I'm not a H. Elf master.
Annyway, Wrestle is a good option to get blodgers down, and also gets "block" ball cariers. , Dodge saves some of your rerolls... Believe most elves do pretty good with 2 rerolls + leader. AV8 is better then AV7... but movement is important. Just don't like to maximise movement to get more av7 then needed. Since you will get hit.
2x Blodge blitzer is pretty much standard.
I like the apo at tournament levels... I don't know why people didnt mention him. Tournaments are ussually resurrection tournaments (and I think you are talking about that). This means you use it on a KO and not an injury. Just keeping a catcher OR blitzer in that went KO (specially 2nd half) means you loose him for 1 turn (since he's stunned) but with it's movement will be easily to catch up with the rest of teh game. In some scenarios it's just better then an extra person in the reserve box. Since you can only put in your reserves after a TD is made.
If you can stack a skill... maybe it's good to switch 1 wrestlers with with a blodge sure hand blitzer... Since Wood Elves are probably in the meta... and strip ball is something to be fear. It also saves you a reroll.
When it comes to normal rerolls (and leader) ... done use them like a rookie. Sometimes you just have to live with the fact that your player will be going down, and hope for the best. Reroll management is a huge factor of the game. AGx4 ussually makes it that you survive with 2 + Leader (and the 4 dodge skills)

@Marco
Of course - silly me! Reading 'elves' as 'pro elves' in the title.
Frenzy is still great fun though! ;)

On TT I find one Catcher with guard is useful. Their speed is helpful for positioning. Defensively I tend to let guys move up the side lines with High Elves on TT.

Can you give more than one skill to a player?
