That gets a 6. If nothing else, because the world really needs ideals.
It needs facts more, but ideals sure light the path.

<3 Jan.
Looks like not everybody agrees though :)
Just trying to get this straight, when we have a conservative president, we are assholes. When we elect a liberal president, we are still assholes! \o/
Is there nothing we can do to win back your love europe?

I am sorry to say, but i am not as impressed.
Most of all, the judical system in USA is flawed at best, Judges being elected for their political views rather than their skills at being objective and true to the law.
2nd. USA doesnt have a democracy, they have a 2 party dictatorship.
Liberty they had, but that has been highly limited since 9.11. But hope, that they have, and i am fascinated at it and that i do find positive about USA.
Every opportunity comes at a cost, and in USA they do very little to protect the weak parties of the society, so therefor i can't condome that either.
But hey who is perfect, and the greatest strength USA IS their military, becourse they are truly the only nation in the western world that believes in military strength (witch is why they protect it so much, aggresively targeting others who might have strength, just becourse of other believes)

that is, to say the least, a very moving speech he made
the world is ready for change, and we all know a black president is making a BIG statement to the world about americas openness to change
shimin, tell me of any country in the world that is the defined term for "democracy"
because at the end of the day, neither are we, the UK is a 2 party democracy, with the lib dems poking here and there
end of the day, all hail change!

Hmmm weak parties like minorities? Like say, black people? Well, we certainly did something good for them by overwhelmingly supporting one of them to represent us as our leader last night. I'd be interested to see how many of the other western nations your talking about have granted an African that opportunity.
