I run a tipping competition at work and we are all pleasantly surprised at Hull's awesome start to the season... best start since Middlesbrough in the Premiership after promotion!

However despite beating Arsenal (Well done btw from a Man Utd supporter :P), you have only beaten some of the premierships worst (Newcastle, Tottenham, West Ham, etc) and only mostly by one goal.

Once you have played Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, and some of the other high class teams and IF you are still close to the middle of the ladder i applaud you... but writing a blog like this after 8 rounds... silly!

Hulls goal isn't mid table they were favourites for relegation at the start of the season - they say around 40 points is the goal for teams trying to stay up so they are only 23 points away from that with vicotories over some of the premierships longest serving teams.
I think Hull fans have every right to start cheering they are making the early season very colourful.

what theyve done is nothing short of amazing, ive started watching hull matches just to see another of the big boys get smashed by old fashioned pride and determination

Go Hull! Fantastic seeing such an unfashionable team beat some of the biggest names in English football: Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle.

However, my hometown club Plymouth Argyle have picked up the mantle of being the largest city in Britain never to have fielded a top flight club. Shame on the filthy Argyle scum!

Thought you might be interested to know that this week Chelsea play Liverpool which Hull play WBA... if one of the big boys lose that game and Hull win they go second! If they should draw, Hull will be 1 point off the freakin' top of the ladder!!! However they then play Chelsea midweek so should they win they will almost certainly go top but in a more likely situation Hulls bubble will be completely burst, stood on, driven over, torn, ripped, shredded and then flushed down the toilet!
